@meu02136 Believe it or not, I once got an SS, I believe its the highest grade possible (the letters are in gold) and of all characters, I got it with Sean in a tournament at work. LOL everyone's jaw dropped, for one, no one knew that grade existed, and two because Sean is weaksauce.

Doesn't mean a lot, Kuroda seemed to be messing around a lot in this game, I'm almost certain he's capable of getting S grades all the time. He's a god at 3S.

Why hasn't Kuroda moved on to SF4, you may ask? Simply because there is no clock for him to play with in character select (at least for console editions)

i always hated how some players uses tactics just to win not making it fun for either player. i mean i guess it could be fun for a chun or yun to run away and build meter and take life lead incredibly serious. how much does it suck to lose like that? it feels like losing to the game rather than the player. im a big fan of japanese players and i always find myself smiling after this match because Kuroda showed Justin how it feels to lose like that. and with a "low tier" character.
They're not playing for fun, they're playing to win. These players are in huge tournaments with money and prestige on the line. Of course they're going to use whatever advantages the game has to win.

People saying Kuroda wasn't being a dick are retarded. He didn't disrespect Ricky but he ran out the clock in character select, pretending to decide which character to play. While taunting is a big part of Q's game, there's a limit to how many you can do to increase your stamina. Even when kuroda reached max stamina, he kept taunting.
Haha, reading comments always makes me laugh. But as far as Kuroda taunting, yeah it's funny, but as Q, it realllly helps your game. It increases your health by like... 70%. according to the wiki. (Q 1200 stamina, 2050 after 3 taunts), but I won't deny that some people think Kuroda's a dick. Face it, he is a bit cocky, but when you're as good as he is in the 3S world, the power can definitely get to your head x] I know it would for me.
The match wasn't hilarious, and he wasn't "trolling". That's how to play good with Q. He didn't do anything out of the ordinary in that matchup. He used all the right pokes. The worst part is when people mention Q taunting like he was doing it in bad taste: THATS PART OF HIS MOVE SET! When Q taunts, he gets a MASSIVE defense boost, up to 4 taunts. It's sometimes better to taunt and take a poke, because in the long run it would mean less damage overall! It's like some of you don't even play 3s!

i always hated how some players uses tactics just to win not making it fun for either player. i mean i guess it could be fun for a chun or yun to run away and build meter and take life lead incredibly serious. how much does it suck to lose like that? it feels like losing to the game rather than the player. im a big fan of japanese players and i always find myself smiling after this match because Kuroda showed Justin how it feels to lose like that. and with a "low tier" character.

@uhhhnthony fun at the competitive level games comes from both players using the best (cheapest) tactics to outsmart/outplay the other. And Kuroda didn't show justin what it felt like to lose like that. Justin isn't a beginner and has lost hundreds of games of every fighting game he's played in infuriating ways.

This supposedly started back in 2004 when Justin Wong beat Japanese player Raoh by time out and then acted cocky about it to him. Following that was Daigo's comeback parry victory.

People saying Kuroda wasn't being a dick are retarded. He didn't disrespect Ricky but he ran out the clock in character select, pretending to decide which character to play. While taunting is a big part of Q's game, there's a limit to how many you can do to increase your stamina. Even when kuroda reached max stamina, he kept taunting.

Haha, reading comments always makes me laugh. But as far as Kuroda taunting, yeah it's funny, but as Q, it realllly helps your game. It increases your health by like... 70%. according to the wiki. (Q 1200 stamina, 2050 after 3 taunts), but I won't deny that some people think Kuroda's a dick. Face it, he is a bit cocky, but when you're as good as he is in the 3S world, the power can definitely get to your head x] I know it would for me.

The match wasn't hilarious, and he wasn't "trolling". That's how to play good with Q. He didn't do anything out of the ordinary in that matchup. He used all the right pokes. The worst part is when people mention Q taunting like he was doing it in bad taste: THATS PART OF HIS MOVE SET! When Q taunts, he gets a MASSIVE defense boost, up to 4 taunts. It's sometimes better to taunt and take a poke, because in the long run it would mean less damage overall! It's like some of you don't even play 3s!

2:35 I'm watching this again. I've seen this video maybe 5-6 times. Hilarious and insightful. I really find the way Kuroda plays Q to be interesting (to say the least) he can apply the pressure when he wants to, then he backs off and lets his opponent make a fatal mistake.
