Two of my favourite wrestlers here, and a great little match!

It's absolutely shocking that Low Ki/Kaval had to wait so long before getting another shot in the WWE, after all he was getting a really good reaction from the crowd in this match.

It's funny that when Christian comes back, almost 9 years after this, that these two could wrestle each other again. I tell you what it'll be worth the wait.

@801Milcah McIntyre is a great wrestler in my opinion. If you go back in 2006, he too was like Kaval, young, fresh and just starting out with an impact. Still going strong after returning 3 years later. Well, once he loses a debut match, that only brings him to a higher push. Trust me. I've watched WWE long enough to know. :)

I just hate to see matches with great wrestlers like Low Ki or Bryan Danielson as jobbers for less talented WWE Stars. Christian selled almost nothing here. He got up just after receiving the Tidal Crush. That move knocked people out legit already, damn it!

I wasn't implying, that he should've lost against Ki. It would be totaly ilogical to let an unknown rookie beat an established Superstar. I'm just angry about it being a squash, and that Christian sells absolutely nothing. If it were Kane going up against Ki it would be reasonable that he can absorb those moves and crush the little guy, but we're talking about Christian here. I mean it doesn't hurt a Midcarder, if he beats a rookie after a competitive battle as long as the finish is clean.

On top of that, I was NEVER a fan of Matches were established guys squashed unknown jobbers, because it proved absolutely nothing to me (not even in my childhood). It neither elevates the status of any one involved (because it's like an adult bragging about beating up little kids) nor does it entertain me the least. A competitive match however serves the purpose of elevating the Superstar, getting the rookie some recognition AND entertaining the crowd.

Well, that is how Japan does it, and it works pretty well for them. To be fair, WWE's been way less horrible with squash matches then they were in the 80's and even 90's.

Yeah the 90's were horrible in that regard. Here in Germany until 1996 the only WWF show you could watch was WWF Superstars, and that was mostly just Jobber-squashes with small guys in plain outfits and no entrance (and no offence for that matter). Funny enough I still have a tape somewhere with 1-2-3 Kid (X-Pac) against a VERY young Jeff Hardy from 1995. I think Jeff even busted out Whisper in the Wind, but the commentator's thought it was a botched Moonsault XD
