  • google souldance by the jam weller wrote the song aged 15 what a song

  • yeah an hes got a tshirt on,despicable eh?

  • Wow, your eyes are great! Have you considered using them to start a new career?

  • @ClancyMod shat up

  • the jam started off as a punk band , until they relised their music was going a different way ... a better way !

  • @PAULNORTHERNIRELAND different way yes , better ? debatable !!

  • Love the way they end this song. A little Sam Cooke goes a long way!

  • "The Jam were an English mod revival band" No!

The Jam had one Mod in it, and were influenced by mod, amongst lots of other things.

  • Agree!! Mod Revival didn't start in 1977 when The Jam had their first hit so how can they be described as a mod revival band - mods adopted them because of Weller (and All Mod Cons) etc but not quite the same thing as being a mod revival band - unlike say The Chords or Purple Hearts. Great that 2 Jam members are in From The Jam - 2 of The Chords are in Pope as are 2 Purple Hearts members in RT3.

  • i disagree. i just finished reading a biography of paul weller and according to that he wasnt just influenced by mods he more or less became one after hearing my generation. Of course the jam were a mod revival band. they had everything. even if only one of them was a mod , the others still looked it too, besides we dont know for sure that bruce and rick weren't into it unless someone acatually asked them...

  • Billy Says "From The Jam Live at Bingley Hall"

  • another classic by the best band ever
