it should work, but like if u play to much u will Lag the fuck out, and ur going to wait about a long-time just to find a lobby/match/ or etc. trust me and i do have the highest plan and played on cricket for 2 years, it sucks!!! and u will not have all online experience, ull have some but not all, plus i have the new modem that came out , and it didnt help at ALL.

it depends on the plan you put on cricket if you got the 40 dollar plan its soooo laggy if you got the 50 dollar plan its allright and if you put the 60 dollar plan its great

this is not worth attempting...I've tried it online, and Mortal Kombat was too slow and very laggy. It took me 13 minutes just to get in a King of The Hill Room, and it took me another 10 minutes just to get inside a Ranked Match.

But if you don't really care and want to go on Live anyways...by all means follow these steps to get in.

You can connect with cricket broadband to xbox live.but it will drastically leave you at a disadvantage while playing online.You will most certainly be laggy, most of your actions will be late or not even compute.Like gears of war or modern warfare, some of you shots wont do damage, basically your shooting blanks then real shots then blanks.Late reactions, say your taking fire on gears, you run to cover just in time, nope,they still hit you becuase your body is somehow still running to cover..

@camakadrake System setting on the Xbox?? Then you need to connect the ethernet cable to your Xbox from your computer and unplug your wireless deal from your xbox. If its in the system settings for your computer then just sift through untill you find the cricket wireless one. It should have a phone icon or something like that. You can NOT use a WIFI connection and follow the steps on my video. Im pretty certain of that. NO ROUTERS!!!

@jedilalo Its the cable that looks like a fat phone line. Its got 8 leads (metal thingys in the plastic piece). Some call it CAT-5 cable. It is the cable that plugs into the back of your xbox for internet. Your router also has 4 or 5 Ethernet ports in the back of it ususally. Hope this helped.

worked plugged ehternet cable on the back on my hardrive to my xbox turned it on and got xbox live this is the old windows so if you have windows 7 follow my steps click on the windows button on the way left bottom corner go to network if you see network and sharing settings click that and then youll see manage network settings click that and then youll see cricket right click cricket and select properties and then youll see sharing click that and youll see 3 boxes check only then 1st one

An "internet connection sharing" box doesnt exist when my modem isnt plugged in, because my computer only recognizes it as a standard modem. Only when my modem is plugged in does the check box for "internet connection sharing" exist. Did anyone find a way past this? This might be why Im having the "IP address error" when trying to connect.

I really liked this video. Though basicly put together, it told me exactly what I needed to know.

Where I live, there is only one DSL provider. Their speeds are not too high, their ping is rediculous, and theyre prices make Cox Communications look like Dollar General.

However, I can get Cricket Broadband out here, and honestly, this method has worked GREATLY for me!

I was able to update my new console, transfer the right to my DLC to my new console, and etc. MUCHAS useful!

I believe ive heard of this. You have to completely disconnect the cricket wireless card. restart the computer and re-establish the connection. Good luck!

@TRYtoHELP you You can do it with a router as well. You just need to manually configure the IP address settings. IP Address needs to be within the range of the network that the PC is on (ex. PC is 192.168.1.100 then xbox could be 192.168.1.101), Subnetmask needs to be the same as the PC (most likely 255.255.255.0), the default Router (or Default Gateway, whatever xbox calls it) needs to be your PC's IP Address and so does the Primary DNS.

As far as i know the ip address is automatically assigned.... If you have been messing around with it you may have set it to manual??? NO! the modem will not work directly connected to the xbox. IT has to be connected to the computer. and from there with an Ethernet cable to the xbox just like the illustration/ diagram dealywhopper. good luck!

When you say " its making my game so strict" im assuming you mean slow. anyway I have absolutly no idea how to change the nat type. I figured if i mess with it it may not work again. I had an issue with that as you can see in the video. I just let it be. The ping isnt the greatest nor is the upload/download speed with this. Please consider that this connection is like hooking up a cell phone to play your Xbox through. Im glad you got your deal connected! it took me 4ever...uhh.. good luck all!

the connection stays in the background of all of the programs.. so once its all connected and your xbox is running you can use the computer that is suppling the internet as normal. of course using it will slow down the connection, but it all still works the same.

sometimes other programs will have a firewall or if there is a router in between. get rid of it and connect the cable straight to your computer from the xbox. Try looking into any antivirus programs on your computer, if you have any, and see if it has a firewall equipped! its rare, but sometimes other, non antivirus related programs, will have something that acts as a firewall... raaaare. That i couldnt really help with... good luck again!

You have something somewhere blocking something. The key note for me what so turn off the firewall. the xbox settings gotta be on automatic? like when it is stock.... maybe you changed that. I have not tried to do that. A game has updated successfully when i have signed on and started playing... Netflix works.. slowly. Its prolly not a good idea to use the marketplace because the files are pretty big? Restart xbox. Test connection, THEN sign in. Can you AFFIRM that you have tried to take off your firewall please? Also the line needs to be direct to the computer, not through a router for it to work the way i have it working. Other than that man i really dont know. sorry. keep searching around the net

Dont know. I tried and tried and tried. All that could fix my problems was FIREWALL was on.... make sure you restart your xbox and start by testing the connection. good luck.
