i never thought that Billy Elliot would work outside the UK, what with the thick accents (I am british, and i struggled at points in the West End show!) and also the storyline is very british, with so many cultural references that wouldnt be understood outside the country - it is based around a period of economic and political instability! just a thought ;)

I hate the purple sequin dress for Mrs. Wilkinson. It just seems so out of character to me.

Having now seen the show with Kate Hennig wearing the purple sequin dress I actually prefer it to the tracksuit design. It works really well in the show when Mrs. Wilkinson changes out of her street clothes into the tacky dress,

First Billy is Josh Waiss-Gates with Cameron Holes as small boy. Then Rhys Kosakowski doing the pirouettes and Nick twiney and Lochlan Denholm tumbling. Dayton Tavares follows with the dance team and Geneveive Lemon as Mrs Wilkinson. Left to right in front row of 'Finale' is Nick Twiney, Lochlan Denholm, Rarmian Newton and Josh Waiss-Gates. Dayton Tavares joins them and near the end far left of screen Rhys Kosakowski joins in to complete all 6 Sydney Billy's being on stage for the performance.

The Sydney cast at the 2008 Helpmann Awards. BETM won 7 awards. This special performance featured all ^ Aussie Billys who had at that time performed incliuding Nick Twiney who retired as Billy on 20th May 2008.

It looks like the Sydney cast to me (might be wrong... but I don't think it's London + it's not NY) which leaves Sydney and Melbourne.

I actually think the whole cast is dancing, i.e. more than one of the lead billys :)
