  • That is the Best Cricket Team of the history of Pakistan. At the time pakistnai cricket team like club lavel cricket,World big name was in pakistan Cricket Team Now only Golden memories:-(

  • malcolm use to be te batsmen!!!love richie's one liners

  • awesome! Wasim Akram is the man ... big fan. Showed the English and Aussies how to play cricket with honesty, and yet kick the oppositions ass! Awesome Wasim Bhai

  • what a guy what a bowler

  • those were the golden days of pakistan cricket .... Wasim and Waqar bowling in tandem, on their day they used to blow the opponents away ....

When Mark Waugh was asked, which cricketer would he like to be born as .. he said Wasim Akram ... and why not ...

  • @jimmosiron by the way it waz nt mark waugh it waz allan border...idiots

  • @appubeats how does it matter ... what matters is Wasim Akram is beyond everybody else .... and stop abusing, else you won't even know what came and hit you wanker ...

  • He was not only a great player but also very humble in victory and after taking wickets unlike some of the other arrogant pace bowlers of current and yesteryear.

  • Feared W's. What a Gr8 Personality and one of the Greatest Bowler we have ever seen. Wasim Akram. look at that swing and Seam from the Great

  • Sit back for a minute and admire the force, the grace, and the skill that fuels each delivery. I am of Indian origin but I cannot stop admiring and singing the praises of Wasim Akram, THE best swing bowlers of our time.

  • does anyone remember who was the captain and wicketkeeper for Pakistan side in this series. I didn't see Khan sahab, neither Miandad in these highlights, was it Malik captaining the Pak team?

  • @reckz420 Miandad was captain and imran just left- this is just after the World cup 1992. Waqar only came back after injury and this was the only test he really came back to form. In that year and 3 more years they as a pair were literally as good as any on any wickets.

  • This was when the Oval track was almost as quick as the WACA Perth....Wasim and Waqar were a terrifying prospect on any wicket but this was underwear change required bowling...

  • he used to make the ball talk. I have seen top order batsmen place some of his balls like they themselves were tail enders

  • @AIMANALI , Agreed. Though he wasn't really a 150 kph bowler, his devestating swinging ball troubled the greatest. Viv Richards, who thrashed all fast bowlers found himself in trouble while facing Akram.

  • @TheIndiansRock Yeah was something I actually found strange. I think Viv tried to destroy him since Wasim was young and still coming up and it just did not work. I mean Viv played swing/ pace combo real well. Wasim got Viv far too many times but I think it was not all Wasims fault, if you know what I mean, I think Viv only played Wasim at Wasims best in ONE year (1989). Speed, I honestly think in his 1st 5 years he could be 90 mphs. Imran & a couple said he could be as quick as any.

  • @AIMANALI , Tendulkar says that the fastest spell from a bowler he has ever faced was that of Wasim Akram in 1989 in Karachi(when Tendulkar made his debut). That means, Wasim was quicker than Lee and Akhtar in his younger days.....

  • @TheIndiansRock Did he say that - wow I did not know. When did he say that ? I do know that Shane Warn said that a spell at Pindi from him "was as fast as any I have seen". Imran said something similar (but more of his early days). Many do not realize that his career was soooo long and he excelled even when his pace went down, unlike many. It went on for so long that many 'forgot' that he was real quick when he was younger.

  • @AIMANALI , When the world was celebrating Tendulkar's 20 years in international cricket, a news reporter once asked him -"When was the last time you felt very uncomfortable while batting?". Tendulkar said that Akram's spell in Karachi 1989 was something to which he had no answer at all, he tried to hook and pull but the ball was so quick that it went past him.....Remember, Sachin has smashed 150+ kph bowlers like Lee and Bond before and this comment shows how quick Akram could have been.

  • @TheIndiansRock thx for sharing that. People like Sachin and Akram etc make this game special. I do not see people mentioning Sachins stance and follow through. they are so relaxed and smooth . even if he does not score a century he is a joy to watch.

  • how time flown by ,seems like only yesterday was1992 the golden summer in England.....the bitter Micky Stewart England coach.

  • Wasim was the KING of Swing. A man With immense intelligence. I wish I could learn how to swing like him.!

  • 0:25 was a slower inswinging ball... awsomeee...

    he is THE best

  • OMG. Benaud commentary - Akram is the bowler, Malcolm...usedto be the batsma :D LOL. Too good.

  • Perfect bowling action without a leap

  • at 1:23 , u can see how trembling batsman was he..hahahah

  • what's with Derek Pringle's light blue helmet?

  • @zeb120...

yep shephard waz never gud 2 pakistan...

but wat abt bucknor : )

    long live bucknor!!!

  • waqar was man of the match in last test mr irandefence : )

i hv recording of these test matches os proof!!!

  • in this series, wasim took 21 wickets and waqar younis took 22 wickets.hahaha what a good time for england

  • gudf

  • gudddddddddd

  • cricket became indigent the day he retired :(

  • wasim a fantasy ,,

  • who is other commentator apart from Benaud?

  • Tony Lewis, and the summariser is Ray Illingworth.

  • ahhh memories...

    cornhill test series...

pakistan won the series and wasim akram was man of the series!!!

  • @321asad Wasim and Waqar were 'Men of the Series'

  • david shephard was a cancerous umpire for the pakistani team

this man never favoured the pakistani team in times of cruciality

and always let our hats down

good for him he is gone

  • Vintage Wasim too good for the Englishmen!

  • it;s interesting that all three of them, Wasim, Waqar, and Aqib were great swingers of the ball. Imran developed this reverse swing technique and taught his three most promising youngsters. I wish that they can teach something to our desperate young bowlers.

  • greatest of all.father of bowlers
