  • Did anyone notice the guard split part at about :23?

  • @67NinjaPro812

    you're right ! amazing....

  • The pit was incredible.

  • the pit really shines in this video. they're going nuts

  • This is pure genius. I don't really know that much about percussion because I've only ever played wind instruments but I can tell that those tenors are kicking tushy.

  • YEAH PIT

  • forget the tenors, whatever, look at the pit!

  • Did anyone see the Front Ensamble? that had some cool shit to.

  • of course get the contra players to carry them i bet theyre buff ass fos

  • :o

  • I wish the scores could have been:

    1.The Cadets

    2. The Cavaliers

    3. The Blue Devils

  • Wow, between the pit, bass drums and tenors i would say thats an award for best percussion, without a doubt

  • Upside down drums is probably one of the coolest things I've ever seen a drum sore do during a show.

  • 0:22-0:40 PIT.OMFG.

  • We did this at our high school while cadencing, and it blew our fans' minds. I would recommend doing it during a solo.

  • The cavies won best percussion because of their pit

  • it would be the ripped low brass to hold their stuff

  • i feel bad for the two guys who were told they were staying upright

  • @mtdukefan30 I heard that they switched every show

  • @MrRippinTearin They didn't. It's the same three guys every time.

  • bass, pit, quads... all in my pants. i -3 percussion breaks

  • Can you say best percussion? Hell yeah.

  • 9.9 in tech, clearly playing upside down makes you clean

  • split parts in the pit yes

  • Just the coolest visual ever

  • As my father would say when he sees an awesome drum corps part...YEAH BABY!!!!!!!

  • @cbkuhlman Holy cow. Forget the tenors, look at the basses and the pit.

  • I feel like us tenors need some time in the spotlight. This is our time to shine ever since the rest of the band as the focus during the tenor break in 2008. But as someone who has played xylophone as well as tenors, I can say that mallet part is sick.

  • lmao.. i saw big loud and live in theatres and i ALMOST missed all the upside down stuff.. lol i missed the awsome pit part and the contras.. didnt no they were the ones holding the ppl.. i guess i have a really crappy eyes when it comes to stuff like that

  • Fucking BOSSS! I love how the drum major looks at them the whole time!

  • The pit is the best part

  • The pit is the best oart

  • >Cavaliers

  • Pit needs to get more credit during that break. Technically speaking, what theyre doing there is way harder then what the tenors are doing

  • And this proves that they really AREN'T human

  • Who knew brass players could play tenors :P

  • Everyone knows this is an all male band right?

  • I just noticed the pit is splitting everything.... damn

  • My younger brother is only eleven but he decided he want to be a quad player for the cavaliers when he saw this.

  • i wish i could hear that tenor solo a little better.. the cheering was pretty obnoxious

  • I think I just saw the '11 gold.

  • Dude!!! did anyone else not care about the tenors and watch the pit the whole time?!?! I know I did! :D

  • @uchihaclan95 I rewatched it and DAMN!

  • Never noticed what the Boards were doing during the snare and tenor solo!!!

  • @rodbdrummer It was the other way around for me xD

  • Everything about this is awesome. Upside down tenors, split-doubles in the pit, and now the basses are in on it too, balancing on the bass drums themselves, haha. Maybe upside-down snares by finals??? =]

  • @NateGomes i'm feeling hovering sideways snares by finals

  • Mind=blown

  • oh my...

  • holy front ensemble!

  • Aw comon you gotta love what the pit was doing too

  • I want to see them do that with the Contra.

  • Not meaning to get off subject, but I think the amazing splits in between mallets is pretty impressive also

  • @MusicFREEK411 Thanks for pointing that out. Not sure I would have ever noticed that!

  • Who's idea was it to try that upside down?

  • @andyandabby4ever Brian Spicer

  • @andyandabby4ever I believe they got the idea from last winter's WGI finals. One of the lines, I'm thinking it was Rhythm X (but don't quote me on that), threw in a visual quite like that, and I guess the Cavvies decided to implement it. SPLOOOIIIIEEEE!!!

  • this is unbelievable -_____-!!!!

  • @strangetml No, this is XtraordinarY :P

  • And that is why The Cavaliers are kicking ass this year.

  • @nemoo34 Too bad they made 3rd place at world class ):

  • The screaming is unfortunate. I was using my iPhone4 to record so the audio was going to be questionable at best anyway :-( The stuff that the front ensemble is doing during this portion of the show is pretty amazing too......didn't even notice it because all the focus was on the tenor line!

  • @aarcurtis the color gaurd is alright
