  • my patrol is better

  • why the did that guy hump the tire

  • @DontGoMuffining To show that H1 is totally stable there with only 3 tires.. I guess..

  • Unfortunately when you bolt on 3,000lbs of armor on it, it becomes a huge obstacle off road.

  • Extreme? More like boring and easy. Not one of those trails was a challenge.

  • my geo metro can do this

  • 11 people drive a wrangler and think they are better...

  • Why do they just take downside the challenges? Anyway is fun to see the most useless cars doing this.

  • @todosdiablos OR TO SEE MOST USELESS PPL LIKE YOU WATCH IT RIGHT? LOL

  • and i only have 3 cylinder in my engine and 1/4 of the hummer weight..

  • i can do it with my auto union munga...

  • Thumbs up if your watching this in december 2011

  • name of the song???

  • @jpolldel down with the sickness by disturbed

  • were is chuck norris o thats not walker. haaa haaaa haaaaaaa idiots with a pig ass crap if the gov. buys these you no its shit, tatra!

  • Amazing!

  • good music choice

  • 11 People drive a Prius

  • @iPlayiRecord 12 now

  • I hope the military never gets rid of these amazing vehicle yes sir so wat about 7 gallons per mile the ones the marines get can take any combustible liquid thats ease of mind that you can fill your convoy up with a stop at a bar using whiskey dam even aircraft fuel will run these beats.

  • @SgtMustang375 With our stupid goverments new green agenda you can expect to see Armord Prius's in the future military.

  • @MercuryMorrison1 thats not funny it scares the crap out of me

  • @SgtMustang375 The stupid thing is, we are using these things where I am stationed. we use them mostly on the highway...and they wonder why our HMMWVs keep breaking down, They were never designed to hold freeway speeds for long periods of time...oh, and I have been designed to run on whiskey too...lol

  • @Ivelostyourmind ha ha yea I love how when you bump an arab they move out of the way like a game shitting there pants

  • bellesa de coche

  • This is fun?

  • That car is scary. Too bad H2 and H3 look like toys.

  • Fucking love this truck.

  • Hell my bicycle can do all that!!! LOL

  • where is the oil pan on a normal h1 not a military one and how do they not get broke or busted

  • @phantom5203 the whole undercarriage is sealed off, its one flat plate under an H1, so water doesnt get in etc, although there are some extra splash guards on the bottom

  • @TheTazzyT Maybe around the engine but the H1 is designed to fill with water and sink to keep traction in deeper water...It has drain holes to let the water out later.

  • 9 people are mad there toyota or nissan 4x4 couldn't stand up to american enginering!

  • @etube242

Hummer is dead now tho man,

i still want one tho HUMMER FUCKING ROCKS

  • @xMandalorex Would rather love to get HMMWV tho. Love it more than Hummer 1. :)

  • @hundiraisk Yeah there are some restricted toys on HMMWV that gives driver BIG grin ;)

  • So far 9 dumb asses have watched this video..

  • at 4.54 is that rocker knocker going down?? good video!

  • names song!!!

  • dear santa!!!!!

  • My dream car!! <3

  • @SiljeMK92 my dream car TOO i hope to have one as my second car =) lots of money tho =( but worth it..........go HUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!

  • god dame i love old hummer's.I wish i had one.

  • If these are good enough for the army they are good enough for me.

  • five people got their jeeps pulled out by an h1

  • a factory h1 or HMMWV can easily outperform most modified (to an extent mind you) rigs that people use. There is a reason we use them in our military. I certainly cant imagine trying to outfit a jeep or land rover with as much armor as the HMMWV can carry and still boogie down the road. complete with all the ass-kickery you need. :)

  • make it weigh weigh under 3,000lbs. make it cost $15,000, 50 mpg rock climbing 100 mpg on city and 200 mpg hiway. tires that last 100,000 on the hiway, oil change every 1 million light yers, able to climb 90 degree gradient. gauranteed no failure within a million mile or 20 years of super heavy use. batteries that can crank the starteer motor for weeks not hours even when the fluid is at 0 kelvin or at 600 degrees fah. super strong radiator able to survive a head on collision at 200mph.

  • superior awd. too bad its too heavy and fuel hungry. no 4 wheel abs and traction control dangerous on the hiway. it would be nice if put a more modern an efficient varible torbo intercooler multi valve direct multi point injection, super robust and ultra super duper lightwieght diesel engine. lighten up the whole body and chassis, ligthen up the wheels, suspension and drve system without changing what made it superior on off road. add 4 wheel abs and traction control like those on modern pickups

  • @superfoxmulder1 or just stop being a little girl and drive a big truck like a real man

  • Actually Jeeps are considered the better "light truck" for offroading. Just about the only thing a Hummer has on Jeeps is HP/Torque. The flex on a hummer is terrible.

  • Actually Jeeps are considered the better "light truck" for offroading. Just about the only thing a Hummer has on Jeeps is HP/Torque

  • The H1's are possibly the best off road light trucks money can buy. There are however 2 slight disappointing facts I think. 1 - fuel economy. I know they're not built to be economical, but they are heavy on gas. 2 suspension articulation. As stated, the more rubber on the ground, the better contact. They have the ground clearance, but their legs can't stretch far. That's the problem. Obviously they're not built for rock crawling or anything, but the H1 is an excellent all-rounder.

  • If they could keep all four tires on the ground they would get alot better traction.

  • it does around 8 city. 12 hwy. soo worth it though. and if you could even afford a hummer h1, a $100,000 truck.. diesel and mpg would b the least of your worries while driving this.

  • When you drive into the sea with your Hummer the whales sing "we are family" x)

  • who sings the first song

  • @samuraixw disturbed

  • @MrMikethemaster thanks

  • How quickly does the fuel on these go down? Cause I'm thinking of buying one and cant see a disadvantage so far! :) if it can do more than 25 miles per gallon then im gonna buy one :)

  • @GraemsayBuey bull shit it'll do 25mpg. Is that a joke? Also, they are extremely expensive to purchase. Do some research, man.

  • @allstaralex09 I was asking how many mpg they would do... o.o and I said i would buy one if they did more than 25 mpg >.< Read what people say before ya comment ;)

  • holy shit i need one of them ill buy a ferrari but this looks betther! :D

  • H1 was made for USA Army, to last 12 years of the toughest beatings on every terrain. It was made to be the best, and is. Both commercial VS army type H1's are almost exact.

Think of the responsibilities of relying on it in a war. That is how good the H1's are.

To really have the best top end H1, everything needs to be reinforced to really see the maximum capability of the H1.

No other vehicle that is off road was not made to last 12 years of the toughest beatings.

  • H2 kicks H1's behind... but only if you are buying groceries.

  • Comment removed

  • @CrackinVTEC666 A Jeep is a completely different vehicle than an H1/Humvee, keep in mind.

  • @bonjovifan48

You know whats funny about H1's.. Do you relise that the transfercase in the H1 is the same transfercase that they use in Jeeps ? The NP242 ? Yeap same 4WD transfercase.... That tells ya something right there why Jeeps are so great offroading.

  • @1ownjoo2 Same axels too? What about ground clearance? Differentials? What about sealing against water? Not the same.

  • @DIESELBOY442

Wow really do i have to explain this ?? Ok here goes... The differentials in the H1 and Jeep are essentially the same, the Jeeps are just weaker. Hell differentials are the same all around on any vehicle its the just the size and strength of them. The only thing that could be different are lockers, or Limited slip diff's. The military version of the NP249 is exactly the same as the Jeep version. Both allow you to lock the differentials 50/50.

  • @1ownjoo2 Okay i think its a given that differentials are essentially the same..but H1's are beefier, that's my point many people try to say jeeps are just as good offroad. I'm NOT arguing that jeeps cant do well offroad (Its mostly the driver) but i am saying that H1's are better for offroad.

Thats funny that you mention that size/strength is the only difference,That is the BIGGEST difference, and the reason why people upgrade their axels..

  • @DIESELBOY442

Now as for ground cleanse an H1 actually not have much more ground clearance then a Jeep... lol look it up if you dont believe me. As for Water thats not even fair im talking abnout the 4WD"SYSTEM" not ability to breath through deep lakes..

Oh and BTW H1's have open differentials just like Jeeps lol in fact they use DANA axles just as Jeeps do. They can tho have optional Eaton eletronic Lockers Do you care to try again on the 4WD thing ?

  • @1ownjoo2

On ground clearance, well hummers might not have a huge amount over jeeps, but why do you think people buy 3,4,6 and 8 inch lifts? The small amount matters. Not even mentioning the real small shit 2,3,4 inch body lifts. Those inches help you achieve flex, ground clearance, and larger tires.

  • @1ownjoo2 annndddd... Who doesnt use dana axels?

  • @DIESELBOY442

Exactly... why make a comment about differentials, when the axles and diff are the same. The gearing might be diff and it might be a stronger version like a dana 70 or something vs a dana 44 for example, but the 4WD system is exactly the same almost in a H1 as it is in a Jeep, the transfercase is where its at and they both use the same thing. Military application and civilian are identicle, only the military has lockers

  • @1ownjoo2 Thats the whole difference, yes they are made by the same corpration, but a stonger version. They arent the same if one is stronger. That means that one will last longer in harsh conditions. So it might work the same, but what makes it better is the strength. It mean instead of going around you can go over. How do you know that they use the same transfer case? Why would a jeep (Chrysler product) be made by AM General?

  • @DIESELBOY442

Look up the H1 4wd system on google. The NP242 is made by a company called New Process not Chysler. Its now called NV242 because New Venture bought them.

  • @DIESELBOY442

    I correct my self i said NP249 i ment NP242

  • 0:45 I’ma fuck this wheel!

  • the hummer is a military vehicle it must be fast so it needs the hp ^^

the unimoc not and its to transport things not to fight and resist bullets

    /watch?v=z74K0NXtRI0&feature=fvst

    also i think its a truck ^^

  • It looks like to me you just point the wheels in the direction you want to go, no matter where... and it does just that. Goes.

  • ok H1 is a fucking awesome car, but don't forget to mention the perfectly drive and the good taste of the soundtrack. H1 one of the best cars ever made.

  • @jambrolas dont call it a car man...seriously

  • yes boss u 100% right i also likh h1

  • i hate those kind of people that think they are the best and the truck they drive is the best

show me what your junk can do if its better than hummer h1, if land rover was so good it wouldn't drop its value like shit, go look on craigs list do some reality check on you,

  • @RovingLandRover if the fucking land rover is so good then why no company wants it? they sale every year? answer that idiot land rover guys like you bring the name down for others to, do your research before you open your mouth and talk shit about hummer h1, its a real deal no joke,

  • @RovingLandRover Military Humvee is not much different then H1, not to mention that they lack CTIS.

In order for Land Cruiser to even get to the point where it's too narrow - it has to be modified to have enough clearance. Properly done it will decrease difference in width so your argument is nonsense. That's being said, you may end up at the point where your narrow width made you inch close to roll over and H1 will pass there at 30 mph.

  • @RovingLandRover Hummer is not a company - it's a brand name.

GM is still in business. So as AM General.

Let me ask you specific question why Range Rover had to be sold to TATA of India?

  • @RovingLandRover Military humvee's aren't GM. THeir AM. I have a military Humvee and my neighbors have FJ cruiser and Jeeps and I pull them out of holes that I drive through all the time.

  • @RovingLandRover Hummer is not out of business they still build H2 and H3 look it up stupid. The H1 isn't sold to citizens because the enemy was purchasing them and upgrading them to use against the US. Now the HMMWV is only of use to the military and even now it is about to be replaced.

  • @RovingLandRover no no no even better look up this vid hummer h1 defender d-max "val disere 2008

  • @RovingLandRover hahahhaah look up d90 vs hummer h1 on youtube just pathetic man

  • @RovingLandRover Alright go ahead and say that a fukin Toyota is better than the HMMV1 military Humvee. Do you even own a freekin hummer or a Toyota? and i said FJ Cruiser not land cruiser but still Humvee will kill it off road as well. Just go to some other website and talk your ass off about shit you don't know.

  • fantasticooooooooooooo

  • @RovingLandRover So let me get this straight. You say that if i take a stock Toyota (hilux, prado, and fj cruiser) and then a stock HMMV1 (Humvee) take em both off road that the Toyota will even beat the Humvee? Hummer H1s in use for the military have gone places Toyota wont even dream of going so please don't compare the two. Plus isn't Toyota still suffering from an accelerator problem?

  • Comment removed

  • @RovingLandRover Even if Toyota drives all the way to the moon - I'm still not going to loose any sleep over it and will still enjoy my H1. Camry is number ONE sold car in US, yet I can afford to drive Benz as a daily driver.

Genius, 'Hummer' is not a company - it's a trademark. Just as Toyota - GM still in business. Not to mention that AM General still makes and sell lot more vehicles for the military then Toyota.

  • thts Down With The Sickness

  • i understand the economy doesnt exactly support this toy as well anymore, but u had it right the first time Hummer, why did u fuck it up?!?!!?

  • pretty impressive, i still rather ride a four wheeler tho, i like being able to use my body weight(dont call me fat! only 160lbs.) to counter obstacles, plus i get around faster, but good video fellas.

  • hummers wheel travel is pathetic. my 3,000 toyota does better than a h1

  • @rogueorange ya...no. your toyota is shit compared to a h1

  • @EazyE6793 haha no its not, my toyota will go more places than that and is a fraction of the price

  • @rogueorange Why exactly you need 'wheel travel' - to have traction.

Your Toyota be laying on it's size where H1 will pass with wheel off the ground.

Gotta love Internet - everyone is automotive 'expert'

  • @zrvpvo8789 lol mate i never said i was an expert, and the reason u need wheel travel is to keep your wheels on the ground for stability and also to keep traction, unless u have diff locks. but u still need it for stability

  • @rogueorange I repeat - your Toyota needs 'wheel travel' since it's center of gravity by far inferior to H1 which makes it less stable.

Even if you never seen H1 anywhere but online - it's very hard not to notice the width and very low overall height. Add superior weight distribution + Torsen diff (or E-locker) and do the math....

  • @zrvpvo8789 haha i have seen plenty of H1 hummers in real life, yes they are low, yes they are wide, but they have shit wheel travel, and u pay out of your ass for sumthin that is only guna be lifting wheels off the ground left right and center, LOL not to mention getting hung up on hillclimbs that my toyota can do, hahaha and to prove my point look at this video, that rear wheel is so high i can walk under it LOLOLOlL there cool cars dont get me wrong i was just makin a point haha

  • @rogueorange You need to heavily modify your Toyota to even come close to stock H1 capabilities. With 37's your Toyota is as stable as matchbox - get reality check.

That wheel is high and yet - H1 is not rolling. One wheel off the ground as high and your Toyota be laying on the side.

And you right - this vehicle is beyond your financial reach or in simple words your Toyota is not in the same class and not even worth mentioning here.

  • @rogueorange let me put it to you this way. if your toyota could go more places than that hummer then why doesnt the military use it instead of the H1. OH I KNOW! because it can't.

  • @EazyE6793 no because a hummer has like 3-4 times the power of a landcruiser, and a landcruiser cant take corugated ground as good as a hummer can, now theres one thing a IFS is good for, high speed over rough ground, (corugations, potholes etc etc)

  • @rogueorange hummers dont have alot of power. i bet that landcruisers have more hp. but hummers are all about the torque, Newton meters man. Hummers are better for a shit ton of reasons.

  • @rogueorange LOL

  • h1 = go anywhere h2 = off road / on road h3 = jeep with fender flares

  • sometimes i appreciate when WMV takes music from videos...

  • best hummer ever made screw them new pieces of garbage!

  • oh, I've found it :)

  • could you tell me what's the first song? thank's.

  • whats the opening song???

  • @willcal123456789

its down with the sickness by disturbed

  • Kinda Funny how there are NO shots if this Climbing UP anything...My truck when it WAS a Half ton did the most EXTREME Trail in Las Cruces New Mexico...Going Down...That is...IT WAS QUITE A RUSH...And Then I Totally rebuilt it afterwards...To go UP the same Trails...

  • nicely said petthekittyz, u must of gotten that off the hummer promotional video, the first video u fond searching for hummer vid's. lol. the hummer is a beautiful thing, the 6.5L TD can run on pure cooking oil, but the 6.6L TD cant, the 6.5 is just a upgraded 6.2L diesel motor. all in all u can get the 6.6 in the ALPHA, & NO THIS IS NOT A GLORIFIED SUBURBAN, but the H2 is a beefed up taho. lol. i have the 6.2 & the 6.5 is almost the ecast motor. rite down the the same glow plugs :)

  • @doldford345 Wow you have 2 Hummer H1s!! Do you find it hard to own two H1s? Be carful because I don't think there are parts available for the Hummer H1.....

I'd wish to talk with you more about how the H1 works :-)

  • whats the name of the song that starts at 6:00 ?

  • @puta569 it's kick start my heart by motley crue!! best motivational song ever!!

  • thx man

  • this aint even his video

  • best in its class? Im curious what elee is in its class... !50 thousand dollar ex military vehicle.

    Maybe unimog?

  • a vehicle that has no class, it can handle street better than a deuce, unimog, or pinzgauer. It has a 10,300lb gvwr, and can tow a house, yet has more ground clearance and is as nimble as any offroad vehicle...

    that class

  • nicely said

  • @petthekittyz yeah pull a house when ur vehicle weights 5 tons and u have a big as engine that only puts out 300hp...factor the 15% you loose to the wheels..

  • @latinbeatz no one said the 6.5 is a good motor, and who the fuck has 300hp? the 6.5 turbo makes 195hp... its slow as fuck..

but the low gears, and worm drive gear reduction hubs make up for any lack of power... and 4-500 ft lbs of torque make the thing powerful enough to get anywhere or do anything, even if its slow while doing it.

  • @petthekittyz all i have to say is oohhhhhhh yeeeaaaaaaaaa

  • @petthekittyz i think unimog is better for offroad but its not the same class its a giant truck

  • @SaintMarneusCalgar unimogs don't have the quite the ground clearance, and their weight class is about the same.

it actually has less then half the HP of the hummer, which is less then my roommates 1989 civic. Its not a giant truck by any means.

  • @petthekittyz Actually Unimog have more ground clearance than Hummer. with straight axle and portal gearing running 42"tires. but its no different than normal truck with portal after market. your right its weaker than Hummer. Hummer is unique with independant suspensions with portal gear hub. awesome!!

  • @XDgreatmoment in spite of being a great off roader hummer has one problem: no weel traver verticaly vich makes it loose grip where other offroader dont

  • @popmihai2000 I'm guessing your trying to say about its tires keep getting lift off the ground? Hummer chose to design that way for rockcrawling purposes without hitting the underbody while sustain ride height and center gravity. if you have flexing axles with tire contacts, the underbody doesnt shift its weights from front to rear then opposite and underbody gets scrape. your right about more grip is better.H2 and H3 use this design, too and its tires gets lift off the ground for underbody guard

  • @popmihai2000 Your live axle vehicle 'grip' limited by the length of your suspension travel. When tire on extended end barely touches the ground, it's hardly a 'grip' . Beyond that - you'll be laying on the side lot faster then H1 with the tire up in the air.

  • @zrvpvo8789 hummers have no articulation which is a disadvantage.

  • @zrvpvo8789 then why rock crawler off roader have insane wheel travel?

  • @popmihai2000 The question is - what else crawler has besides articulation?

  • @popmihai2000 As is evident in the video, that isn't a problem....

  • @petthekittyz /watch?v=JOKIeaqtPzY ^^

  • @petthekittyz Too bad it has the articulation of a Prius. I love H1's but Id rather have my Rubicon :)

  • @sweetleader you don't need articulation when you have more ground clearance, and locking diffs.

there is no need to keep all 4 wheels in contact with the ground if lifting one of them is going to keep the chassis from interfering with obstacles.

  • @petthekittyz As demonstrated in the King of the Hammers races in Johnson Valley, solid axle designs (which articulate) are definitely an advantage for rock crawling over an independent suspension design. Keeping all 4 wheels in contact with the ground is, actually, an advantage. It keeps the body of the vehicle from dropping to one side or the other. The HMMWV fights this disadvantage by being significantly wider than its solid axle predecessor, the jeep. It also has more ground clearance.

  • @petthekittyz I would say, instead of all these guys arguing pointlessly which vehicle is "better"... the two different vehicles should have their similarities and differences noted. BOTH are incredibly capable. I own a TJ myself. But like every single vehicle on earth.. a jeep and a HMMWV require different driving styles. Different techniques to overcome obstacles. Different lines must be taken over the same obstacle. Just have to adjust accordingly.

  • @petthekittyz You obviously have NO experience offroad. Getting a tire in the air due to lack of articulation is NOT something to brag about. When a vehicle is unstable (like when its teetering on 2 wheels) you risk rolling it.

H1's are great at what they were designed for. Which is hauling heavy loads over open terrain. Taking them offroad on trails is not. They are too wide, long, and heavy. Try to find a video of one on the Rubicon Trail, Fordyce, or any other difficult trail.

  • @Stuka87 Your not smart.

  • @Stuka87, its a war machine. HMMWV "Humvee" High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle. It overcomes any obstacle.

And don't give BS like "Oh well they are Gas Guzzlers", so are all those fat ass bentleys and rolls royces and other exotic cars.

  • @Stuka87 just shut up and enjoy the vid you know it all.

  • @petthekittyz

    Pfffhahaha

    >Implying the hummer has more ground clearance than a pinzgauer.

  • @petthekittyz HMMWV, H1s and Jeep are the kings of off roading

  • sweet. truly an awesome machine best in its class

  • it has good power to weight ratio and has a good ground clearance, but almost no suspension travel.

  • its power to weight sucks! its 2:1 gear reduction hubs and amazing ground clearance make up for it tho

  • Lots of Moab in there! Don't wanna get tippy on that Rim trail

  • H1 is size and power.. its legend

  • asome vid. the hummer h1 is a real offroading machine!

  • the H1 is the only nice model of hummer

  • you couldn't be any more correct

  • yeah the H2 starts to lose the touch, and it;s just dead in the H3

  • "starts to loose touch"

or its completely lost, general motors didn't even try when they bought the hummer name, its a suburban with a square body and a hummer badge and a vortec 6 liter.

  • The H1 is NOT a "Suburban"...The H1 IS the REAL Deal...NOW...The H2 and other Hummers are pretty Much OVERPRICED JUNK...

  • Never said the H1 was a suburban. The H1 was still produced by AMG for GM till the end of its production in 2006, but every hummer GM touched was a half ton gasoline powered suv with a box for a body.. My response here was to the comment above which stated the H2 stats to loose the touch, and I just said it was completely lost, not sure what part of my comment your addressing in stating the H1 isn't a suburban when no one has ever stated it was

  • OK...
