He probably thought that it was his garden, even though he doesn't possess even the most basic evidence to prove that it is his garden, and, even so, that he doesn't understand how one can claim ownership over a garden.
I genuinely love this animation. The wierd thing is, I only know who Joe Pasquale is because of Stuart Lee's joke about him. The same goes for Tom O'Connor. Also, When Lee copares his appearance to Morrisey, Terry Christian, etc., I am in the wierd position of being muchmore familiar with his work than their's. The point being, Lee is in danger of losing his outsider status, and has already done so with me. But his jokes still work a treat.
oh, I really liked "Monkey Dust" & yes it does remind me of it too, though I feel i must point out that this animation is original & in no way is plagurised ,that would after all be ironic as in context of the subject matter that it it refering to.
If I saw Joe Pasquale in my garden I would ask him to replace all the topsoil with an organic mulch on his own with only a seaside spade as a garden tool, lay down a new layer of turf with a substrate of grit/sand for drainage to prevent subsequent moss build up with his bare hands, and not allow any hand moisturising after washing them, in full payment for outright theft of the garden joke from Mr Redmond. Now that is not unrealistic.
i have joe pasquale in my garden to keep the comedy out ,,,
