Actually, you are incorrect in saying it's 2 x 2.0ghz. It's ONE 2ghz processor, TWO CORES. All that means is the processor can handle two operations simultaneously, not that it has two processors or that it's 2x as fast

Nice computer, HORRIBLE BATTERY. Full charge...1 hour and 19 minutes. Dell says, that's the best it can do and tries to sell me up on another battery. 1 Hour and 19 minutes with the computer doing nothing except sitting there, Not even a good nite-lite!

HELP! I got this same computer, and when I got it, I noticed that the hard drive had almost no memory left. It had 10 gigs out of 136 left!!! I didn't even have that many files. i ordered this one and then canceled it and got a 1520 because of the graphics card i got it scratch and dent for 600 there was paint on it that was the damage and i wipped it off so i would look at the refurbished first and sometimes there is upgrades like blu ray for cheaper

Although i'd recommend you avoid apples at all costs. Graphic Design is what the apple is created for really, so for graphic design you'd be best with the apple.

BTW, vista isn't a model, it's Microsoft's new operating system. You should probably use a Mac (Apple's line of Computers) if you're going to use it for graphic design. My friend's a video editor and he loves his Mac. For technical things such as databases, I'd say use a Dell computer.
