Of course this song is about loving a man. It's just she doesn't tell us who the 'man' is. So you read into it what you want (and people do!). Those are always the best sort of lyrics 'cause they leave it wide open. As for calling her disgusting names - you should be ashamed of yourselves. She was 18 when she recorded this f.h.s. - long before present troubles !!!!! When people use those garbage words it tells you more about them (and their hate) than the person they're slagging off.
