Lord, Rose's face at 1:57, damn she's good. I miss Eccleston, you got that sense of him being fresh out of the time war, still hurting and angry. His angry moments are so intense.
c'mon people, look just only at the very first scene of this, and tell me, how could someone be keeping to claim that Tennant has been a better doctor than Eccleston?
@ciro2481 agree. Always loved Eccleston. He is THE Doctor. Love Tennant. He is a gorgeous zany Hunk as the Doctor but whereas he is more outgoing, he lacks Eccleston's intensity.
@CrazyGood88 But Eccleston lacks Tennant's uniqueness, his wakiness that he brings to The Doctor. WHen I think of the Doctor Who series, I think of some waky, geius, brilliantly weird Man
@demicassy I agree Ten was a hunky, wacky unique Doctor and put his mark on it, but Eccleston put his mark on it as well as he exuded the side of the Doctor that was never really seen. The dark, enigmatic, guilt-ridden, man who feels alone in the universe because he "believes" he is the last. Now true, every once in awhile Eccleston expressed the goofiness and the zest for life that has been epitomed in the Doctor, but Eccleston focuse don the darker side. The side that noone hardly sees.
@CrazyGood88 Well I'm not saying I disagree with you there. He certainly does express that side of the doctor, the side so hurt and guilty over everything that's happened. I think Eccleston was a terrific doctor, he was really brilliant at it. I'm just saying, I love how the tenth expresses it he shows it too but in a way where you just barely catch a glimpse of it here and there. I don't know what to say though, I just think the way the Tenth is so goofy to cover it up is fantastic
@demicassy in my opinion which is why I think I am enthralled by him. Every Doctor is happy and zany and somewhat cooky. But when speakin on their home and their loss and their isolation fromt the world...I sometimes wondered-where is that emotion? It has to be a heavy load.
@CrazyGood88 I know it's a heavy load. But I also think of the Doctor's character as someone strong, someone long-suffering who is always trying no matter what. But he's just a being after all so he's like the rest of us, and what do 'strong' people do when they're hurting badly? They try to be 'strong' and shake it off, try to ignore it so they won''t feel weak or useless. I think that's why I see the Doctor as someone 'wacky', he's that way to cover it all up, just like most would.
@demicassy Ok. I undertand that. I understand that "strong facade" you are talking about. Both 9 and 10 had it. 9 just kept the darkness on his shoulders like a cloak
@Kye2 Tennant xP I'm sorry, but COME ON! This Doctor is frikin AWESOME, I know, he totally is, but....David Tennant is BRILLIANT! Fabulous! Fantastic! xP lol I LOVE him as the doctor, he just FITS, perfectly

Personally, I think that 9, 10 and 11 are all fantastic actors. The preference really goes to which one you identify more.
They all have their FABULOUS moments!

Ah the Golden year. Tennant's series never quite compared. Not saying Tennant was a bad Doctor, but the writing just declined completely.
