Elgia in Re? (How do you spell that?) Beautiful bass sound and performance. I wish I could play double bass already, because it is my favorite instrument, beside the piano.

You know a bass and the bassist are good when the playing sounds like a cello only like twice as loud (in forte).

Beautiful sound. Is the fingerboard tapered on a diagonal at the end? or is that just the shadow?

@fiddlinmatt The fingerboard looks extended on the D and G strings. Edgar Meyer's bass is another one that has that extension.

although the price will more than likely put this instrument forever out of my reach.sir i will forever be thankful. not only for the chance to listen to an accomplished player,but an instrument that truely has a voice worthy of the phrase "i played and it sang to me"
