  • from aformer lutheran this is good

  • LCMS-Staten Island, going over to WELS New Jersey!

  • Great Stuff! Peace to All!

We lift up our hearts to the lord. let us give thanks to the lord our God. It is right to give him thanks and praise!!

  • LCMS- New England District!

  • Loved the song - reminds me of Garrison Keilor once saying everyone in Minnesota was a Lutheran - even the atheists - because it was the Lutheran God they did not believe in. But Tom Landry was United Methodist - long time member of Highland Park UMC, Dallas - where George and Laura Bush were also members.

  • is it just me or should they have found a way to rhyme "pretzel" with "Tetzel?" just sayin...

  • @flashback1341 That's certainly true - sinners, every one of us. And also saints.

  • I'm not Lutheran, but I love The Far Side's portrayal of God

  • Add David Soul, the blond guy on Starskey and Hutch.

  • Lutheran Pride <3

  • That has nothing at all to do with the Lutheran Church to which I belong.

  • Add michele bachmann to the List,

We are Proud to be Lutheran !

  • @easterboyekka Well she needs to re-read the Small and Large Catechisms because I don't know any Lutheran who subscribes to dispensationalism. She also needs to recognize the Lutheran view that Israel is not a state but the Christian church. In other words, her Lutheran pastor needs enroll her in a remedial confirmation class, it seems her first time around didn't work.

  • The closing picture is from San Antonio! I was there! Yay! I love Lost & Found

  • ELCA -3

  • How is St. Olaf Lutheran? He lived 500 years before Luther.

  • @StealthGoblin1 he was venerated.

  • @powercat19911 He was and is venerated also by Lutherans..but that does not make him Lutheran. St. Birgitta/Bridget of Sweden, Patroness of Europe, could also be mentioned along with St. Olaf. Here relics are still displayed in the so called Blue church in Vadstena, Sweden, where Lutherans and Catholics do venerate her.

  • @StealthGoblin1

I know I was thinking the same thing.

  • I burnt my fingers on many a Lutheran Christmas Eve. This song gives me a smile a mile wide.

  • I can't hear this song without a smile...

  • i don't get this video...

  • I was born Lutheran <3 This makes me smile

  • I am Lutheran in Bangkok Thailand .

  • @Jackkittikhun Nice, I did not know there were Lutherans in Thailand!

  • I am Lutheran in Bangkok Thailand

  • I went to a Lutheran wedding. The minister talked about divorce for about 1/2 the ceremony. I'm sitting there wondering, WTF?

  • It's a cute song, but Hubert Humphrey was a Congregationalist. Still, we've never had a Lutheran president, and probably will have only one Catholic.

  • They just played at my church!!!!

  • It's nice to be Lutheran isn't it?

  • I seriously doubt there are that many famous lutherans. Everyone knows the the catholics are one of the more popular religions.

  • dang, that is hilarious. I thougt that so many times about the star wars thing

  • This song is really wonderful, totally sacred and funny and great. Thanks.

  • What is the name of the Actor at 1:36 to 1:38?

  • @parked4u

    Woody Harrelson

  • @scapino1974 Woody Harrelson is not Lutheran but his character on Cheers "Woody" was Lutheran. Bruce Willis was confirmed LCMS but I don't know if he still considers himself Lutheran. David Soul, the blond guy on Starsky and Hutch was raised David Solberg, the son of a Lutheran minister in South Dakota

  • with some of the faces portrayed as the "pride" of the Church....Im changing denominations....Methodists anyone??

  • J. S. Bach CONVERTED to CATHOLICISM!

    ONE flock and ONE shepherd!

God bless the holy Catholic Church!

  • @nuduaspiaggia Actually it was his son, Johannes Christian Bach who converted to Catholicism.

  • @jessep28 Both wrote music for the Catholic Mass, not for heretical Lutheran "services."

  • @nuduaspiaggia The BBC produced a documentary entitled "Bach and the Lutheran Legacy." The whole video is up on YouTube. If you have an hour to spend, I would urge you to check it out.

I have some issues with Lutherans being called heretics but I'm not going to get into that discussion.

    God bless you!

    -Jesse

  • @nuduaspiaggia Christianus mihi nomen est, catholicus cognomen.

  • SAINT OLAF WAS CATHOLIC!

(He died in 1030; 500 years before Lutheranism.)

    ONE flock and ONE shepherd!

God bless the holy Catholic Church!

  • I'm pretty sure Steve Jobbs is a buddhist. I am a former Lutheran now an Atheist btw. So yeah.

  • LCMS-St Johns-Staten Island NY

  • I love how searching 'This is the Feast' brought me here : P Lost & Found rocks

  • Ho a t. Olaf a Lutheran, he died long before Luther. I know he is revered in the church and most of the others in this video were Lutherans at one point but not all are currently.

  • Where can i download this song

  • I often sat near Justice Reinquiest in an Episcopal parish church in Vermont when he was at his summer house. So not sure about him being a Luthern??!

  • @pipeup1 The ELCA and Episcopal church are in full communion.

  • hey Jackooboy, your absolutly right! I knew that so don't know why i posted the above!! Brainfart maybe! :-))

  • @pipeup1 It could be he couldn't find a Lutheran church close enough. Rehnquist (a Swedish name, which until recently had the official church as Lutheran) also went to Catholic Mass with Nino Scalia! It is not unusual for people of different denominations to visit other churches. In fact, the Episcopalians and the Lutherans have come to a loose confederation, exchanging ministers in some cases.

  • Well, actually many use acolytes. And, a goodly number are, indeed high church.

  • I wonder how common acolyte gowns are amongs lutherans in America, as the church bodies are not high church like the Church of Sweden?!

  • I've seen them used in a few churches here, but often if kids are acolytes, they're just in street clothes. In our church, the ushers light the candles and they're in their suits/skirts.

  • at 3:16, was that a picture from the NYG in San Antonio? (03) ? Wow.. that was amazing!

  • Check out our video response (the lutheran difference) on what makes Lutheran Christianity different from all the rest!

  • LCMS-Southern District!!! Woo!!

  • LCMS-Wyoming District....and Michigan District! :)

  • I was raised a Lutheran (Mo Synod) the original Lutheran Church started by Martin Luther and I am proud to call myself a MO Synod Lutheran. I have no Idea who Orthodox Lutherans are. I know that you have ELCA, ALC, LCA. These latter churches were formed after the dissention in the late 70's/ Early 80's (something about doctrine.

  • You might want to check your history, espceially about when the other Lutheran bodies were formed.

  • The ALC was formed in 1960, the LCA in 1962. In 1988 the ALC, the LCA and AELC merged to form the ELCA. The AELC was a group that broke away from the Missouri Synod in 1977 over the conflict at Concordia Seminary in St Louis in the mid 1970s.

  • Some of these are Orthodox Lutherans, some are heretics, apostates, or Lutherans In Name Only (LINOs)....

    BUT GREAT VIDEO! :)

  • Very well done. Peace and joy to all!

  • He's saying Mark Hanson. He was the Bishop of the South Eastern Synod, lol.

  • who are lutherans?

  • lol@this

  • I am a recent convert, and I am proud to call myself a Lutheran! :-)

  • @SummerSunshine1988 Welcome :)

  • @SummerSunshine1988 the same here ;)

  • Can someone write the letter?!

  • S:t Olaf of Norway and S.t Bridget of Sweden, patroness of Europe, are the only canonized saints of the Catholic Church who you could say are shared with the evangelical lutheran national Churches of Norway and Sweden. S:t Bridget is venerated in the Church of Sweden, especially among the members of Societas Sanctae Birgittae, who also have some American members.

  • Garrison Keillor is Episcopalian.

  • He used to be Lutheran

  • beautiful man, really beautiful.

  • Dont forget Admiral Chester Nimitz.

  • Lutheran here. Jesus Christ. Amen

  • Sorry ELS...I guess you'll always just be WELS's twin sister...except the Norwegian gene pool half...

  • Proud Lutheran here:) we have some great people. Obviously...

  • What?!! No ELS logo? ;)

  • Comment removed

  • I love this song, these guys are some of the nicest guys ii have ever met. :-)

I love the ELCA logo, and other lutheran logos.

    thanks

  • Don't quote me on this, but I think Chuck Norris is (or at one point was) a Lutheran.

I love Lost and Found. Totally saw them at the National Youth Gathering a couple years ago.

  • Oh Chuck Norris is a Lutheran and so is Ron Paul1!!!! haha you better believe it

  • Chuck Norris is a Jew.

  • I was going to mention Ron Paul was raised a Lutheran a was Jesse Ventura, but the latter after hat he aid about organized religion I don't know hat he is. Dr. Seuss was too. Some of thee people in this song aren't Lutheran anymore, like I thin Steve Jobs is now agnostic but he was most certainly raised a Lutheran.

  • Bruce Willis is no longer Lutheran....Hulk Hogan's wife is Lutheran, supposedly

  • Very nice touch at the end with the LCMS, ELCA, and WELS logos

  • they missed the Ted Drewes, the best custard EVER around the world, here at St. Louis, Missouri!

  • ELCA <4

  • So, who are all the others at the end of the video?

  • There was Tom Brady and Kirsten Dunst.

  • Garrison Keilor is Episcopalian. He was raised in a small 'Holiness' church. HHHumphry was born Lutheran but switched to Methodist. Jaroslav Pelikan spent the last years of his life Orthodox. St. Olav lived before Catholics and Lutherans split, so either can claim him. FYI-William Renquist was, to date, the highest ranking Lutheran in American Government. There has never been a Lutheran President or Vice-President.

  • Wasn't Henry Muelenberg the first speaker of the house of representatives

  • his son Frederick was

  • :) Give it time....bound to happen sooner or later

  • I'm not a christian but if I ever changed my mind, I would be a Lutheran. For Martin Luther's stand against the criminal child molesting liars of the Catholic Church. I won't even go on listing the other many reasons why I respect Martin Luther more than anyone else in christianity. He was a good hearted person and I think he reflects what christianity truely is, not just some evil god that wants you to obey or you melt in fire. Martin also knew enough languages to translate the bible better.

  • I've always loved this song by Lost and Found, but thanks for making it into a video! :)

  • Oh le pauvre Seigneur, c'est odieux.

  • No, we say "What does this mean?"

  • I swear, every time I see a Star Wars movie and they say, "May the force be with you" every Lutheran wants to reply, "and also with you!!!"

  • lol...thats especially true w/ me...lol =p

  • amen

  • I read somewhere that Ewan McGreggor wanted to respond with "and also with you" to Hayden Christenson's "Master, may the Force be with you."

  • this is the feeeeeeeeeast of victory for our god! lol. this is awesome

  • And also with you!

  • Go Aikmen!! This is so true. It's a really great song

  • This is most certainly true!
