I wonder how this would sound on a 8580, which is much less 'clicky'. I actually like the rough edges though I wish there'd be a v1.1 or perhaps even an engine/tool release.

Interesting visual effects (even if the girl at 0:55 looks 15...), but the sound is horrible. I can't understand how the demo won with such terrible sound. Either it isn't supposed to sound like this, or everybody at the show was deaf.

what the hell is going on with the sound on this video? sounds a bit too scratchy.. or is it supposed to be like this?

@robbiew73 if you listen closely its actually the speech synthesizer that you're hearing. which is quite amazing :)

@rvounik - I still think this is very poor.. I've heard better speech on the C64.. so my question is - is this poor emulation or is this taken off a real C64 with a bad SID chip and filters?

its not sampled speech, its synthesized speech that plays throughout the whole demo. havent seen that before on c64. but then I could be mistaken, I wasnt at the party and havent had time to play this demo on a real c64.
