Just finished Bob Mould's book and he is none too kind to Grant. I loved Husker Du back in the day and love Bob's stuff, but always seemed to like Grant's songs a bit more. Pull out 'New Day Rising' and hear this song at blinding volume and you can hear that those two needed each other to produce such a damn fine catalog. That Bob almost dismisses his days in Husker Du as eight years of drudgery is sad. As for solo stuff, I also prefer Grant's work, but a Husker reunion sadly will not happen.
@dpspac333 dude, if you had ever been to a husker show in the later years, both bob and grant backed up each other constantly (you tube their version of "ticket to ride" or find the bootleg floating from the old NPR show they did outta boston
