Isaiah 44:8: Do not tremble, do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one."
Among all the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works (Psalms 86:8).
There are other times in the Bible which it is said "there is none besides" about people or towns, which there are others, but it is a way of saying they are the greatest.
I just don't see the Bible being consistent that there is only one God, but it is always noted that God is the greatest god, or exalted among other gods (see Psalms 97:9)
Sons of God are angels (according to the Book of Enoch). Canaanite/Israelite religion believed the Most High God (or Head God) had 70 sons who ruled over different cities as a god. Yahweh was one of these gods and the God of Israel. Early Israelites were very henotheistic that slowly grew into a strict monotheistic society. Ironically, Yahweh is translated into LORD and Paul mentions that the Christians were to have one God (the Father) and one Lord (Jesus Christ).
I thought henotheism is worship of "one god at a time"... lol well there's the Jewish Storm/War God, the Christian Solar God, and the Islamic Moon God, I'll just do one at a time.
There;s a very interesting documentary I think you'd like, it's called Riddles in stone, you can find it on Youtube. I've been well into this all myself, I am in fact henotheistic & follow the God Yahweh, but I believe in hierarchy, like the two morning stars being Yeshua & Lucifer. I made a video about this. Like Quetzalcoatl a Mayan God being called "Son of the dawn" just like Lucifer was called, morning star Venus.

@stevetheskeptic, interesting. Perhaps monotheism did develop throughout Jewish history. That would have made the early Jews henotheist.

Thank you. Very interesting, I was not aware Yahweh had 69 brothers. And the weirdness continues...
