I love how these psychadelic bands sometimes used childish lyrics which could have been a good night story for kids. For example The sky children and Traffic - Hole in my shoe. It turned out as a great trippy and still a perfectly beautiful song. Simply brilliant
@hippiehippiehoorah1 Took me 20 years...I heard them first as Fairfield Parlour with their song Eyewitness from the 1970 film of the same name. Then I decided to find more about them and discovered they were also called Kaleidoscope and found this album (Tangerine Dream) on CD and I play it constantly. Along with their 1970 album From Home to Home as Fairfield Parlour.
I accidentally downloaded this album and just love it, especially this song. It's weird but somehow it brings back memories of my early childhood, as if someone in my family listened to this in their youth.
So is this considered psychedelic music? Is it a genre in itself? Be that as it may, it's pretty awesome!

I've known of the British Kaleidoscope since 2002 but not until recently have I heard this particular song. It really starts touching you after repeated listens, look up the lyrics to it. It's structure is like "Desolation Row" by Dylan, whom they probally loved. Only this is a fairy-tale psych song. It really makes you think of when you were a child and were so innocent. During this song's eight minutes you can go back to that innocence for awhile, but keep it with you after the song is done.
according to peter daltrey, thesky children. a fairytale dream. a wish. please listen to the pictures. for me music and the sky children are the highlights by kaleidoscope. i can recommend both albums and of course from home to home by fairfield parlour.
What an amazing song n the album is just as gud.For people who like this one i can recommend a band called Caravan who have an album out called In The Land of Grey and Pink.Check it out its awesome!
If only they were more creative...gets repetitive after a while.
