I grew up in Price Hill & miss goetta, too. I eat it every time we visit and if I can bring some back with me. I never heard of any "long-standing tradition" of putting strawberry jelly on goetta ??? Has anyone else from up home? Sounds disgusting. Didn't know if I missed something all my yrs there or if someone was just wanting to see this poor girl eat something yucky!
@kinnsb I'm from the Nati too & I have also NEVER heard of the 'stawberry jelly on goetta'! NASTY! I DO know goofballs who pour maple syrup on it though.......Thats a sin!

I live in Seattle now but grew up on Overlook Av . right down the street from there. I miss goetta and eat it every-time we visit.
