@double16dotcom thank you for the advice i ended up getting the winmau lakeside championship edition which came with the new blade 3, cabinet, 2 sets of darts, a checkout poster, chalk and duster and an oche line all for £27.99, the board is brilliant and you done a good review on it. im not as good as you yet and im a far way off from that. again thank you for the help :)
@double16dotcom i use eclipse pro but before i started using them i did have a blade 3, in my opinion the trebles are the same but the metal wire is thinner on a eclipse pro which i know is hard to believe as blade 3 wires are thin as it is but i have noticed with the eclipse pro you do have to rotate it constantly or sections of the board will spoil.
@kingelnino9 Its just some clever marketing. It increases your average because the wires are 30% thinner compared to a standard round wire dart board.
Probably isn't much difference between the 2 boards. But it'd be Winmau Blade3 for me too.
I have the old Blade 3 and can get a way with turning the board every 10 - 14 days, even though I throw heavily also.
I tend to play alot of practice games like Shanghai, 25's & Bulls, etc, and I've already had to gently flatten the sisal in the bull to keep it level and to slow down the wear and tear, but I'm going to do the same thing with quite a few trebles and the 25 ring, which doesn't take much time to do and is a fairly simple process.
I have used the New Blade ever since this review without turning it. The wire system is an improvement - I have given the wires around the T20 some hammer and they are holding up well. The sisal is just beginning to show signs of wear around the treble.
The new graphics on the Blade III are very nice, gives it a more modern and even more professional look. Also the brighter colors are a nice improvement to the "old" Blade III board.
ive got a winmau diamond dartboard witch one is better?

@podgie2010 the blade 3 is better as it contains no staples, and will last slightly longer.

This Blade III is better than the Eclipse Pro.
The Eclipse Pro is excellent for about 10 minutes then the wires start separating from the board. Participially around the doubles.

Great video! I agree this is a great dartboard. At Xmas it cost £20 @ Argos and Amazon. Any reasons why it's nearly £30 everywhere now.

Winmau Blade III or the Unicorn Eclipse Pro
harryl95 1 year ago
If you are asking for a personal opinion.... then for me its the Blade111 for all round usage.

@harryl95 I have the Unicorn Eclipse, I'd recommend that m8 to you. Unicorns to me make better Dart boards.

Any Blade for £20 is a good deal mate. Keep an eye on shops like Argos cos they regularly have good deals on them.

@double16dotcom Hey great videos!
I was wondering what are your opinions on the Eclipse Pro compared to the Blade 3.
Are the Eclipse Pro's trebles and doubles bigger? Because it says on the box that it boost's averages.

I am sorry mate but I just dont know. I have not used an Eclipse Pro board so I cant say...
All the best
