There isn't really a 3D effect. It's two images recorded at once by two Mino Flip cameras (you can see them in the mirror at the end. I then lined them up in sync and reduced them to smaller boxes in Final Cut. The right eye actually goes on the left and vice versa for the crosseye trick to work properly.

Works much better if you can watch in HD, however the 3D effect still works at lo-res if you squint!
