Nismo (a technically separate company from Nissan) bought 100 R34s from Nissan and made the R-Tune and Z-Tune which had an RB26 (2.6L) that was bored and stroked to 2.8L and made about 500hp.

NOT too many average drivers will pull a stock 11.1 and will not pull a 10.6 on a Modd ZR-1! On the other hand..YES u can do that with the GTR, Road & Track got the GTR 0-60 (3.2) 1/4 (11.3) , Euro test 0-60 (3.2) 1/4 11.2..

No moron. The ZR1 is $36,000 more than the Z06 and goes 0-60 in 0.1 seconds faster, weighs more, and has a top speed of about 11mph more than the Z06. You're an idiot if you'd get a ZR1.

The ZR1's 0-60 time is 3.4-3.3secs and the Z06's is 3.8....that's 0.4-0.5 faster.....It handles much better with much more grip due to the MR suspension and stickier tires, its about 100-200lbs lighter due to more carbon fiber, hp is up from 505hp in the 7.0l LS7 Z06 to 638hp in the Eaton supercharged 6.2l LS9 ZR1. The ZR1 destroys LP640's, 911GT3's, 599 GTB's, etc......the Z06 cant do that.....

The Z06 is a beast, but the ZR1 is King of the supercars

the spec V only gets 5 more hp and a better driving feel with stiffer suspension. The times will be a little better, but still no match for the ZR1. Maybe a Nismo edition will come out later on that can challenge the ZR1, but i doubt a little less weight and suspension up grades will help it much

oh and by the way, that's a Z06 in that vid, not a ZR1. We know that the Z06's only advantage is hp against the GT-R so that was no surprise really

well it makes since it should be the "Base GTR vs Z06" on the track, not a ZR-1. Nomatter what..its the ZR-1 vs the Spec V, its makes since..yes the ZR-1 can beat the Spec V on the straight..but on the track? different ball game, oh..by the way..Muzuno said..the "Spec V is NOT the High-Performance GTR, Nissan has another 1 up their sleeves. .
