  • Amazing just how much better these legends are compared to the shit we get crammed down our throats nowadays.

  • Two of my all time fav wrestlers regardless of nationality or style!!!!!

  • 秒殺.....厲害!!

  • Another match that should have been longer

  • Bald with a goatee. That's a good look for Keiji.

  • 畢竟有年紀了 沒像以前打的那麼激烈

  • Shiniiiiing Wizaaaaaaaaaaard

  • 武藤は神だけどライガーもすごい体してるな

  • 超簡易型ライガーマスク

    かっこ悪いな、なんか。

  • they gotta be the 2 most charismatic japanese wrestleres of all time. :)

  • Talk about the LEGENDS that are Mutoh-san and Liger-San. That guy nevre should be mentioned in the same space as the legends

  • That Moron

  • about

  • About

  • about

  • About

  • Talking

  • ALL

  • Stop

  • OMG

  • Ah, the fine art of no selling.

  • Cena doesn't deserve to be mentioned alongside these guys, but give him a break. The guy gets too much hate.

Atleast Cena got over with the fans legitimatley, unlike that mid-carder jeff jarrett...

  • @KOPunchopenarena Ummmm....if by legitimately you mean he was forced into everything until the PG WWE Audience accepted him.

  • that lyger tights appears on sdvr 2006

i made a lance storm caw with those tights

  • Cena doesnt deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Mutoh or Liger

  • Appreciate the fact that Mutoh still does this for us even though his knees are as bad as they can ever get. Now that's dedication.

  • What year did this happen? And what org are they in?

  • Why is Cena even meantioned? He is in the entertainment for the kids business this is wrestling!!!

  • I'm not a Cena basher, I just think the guy isn't that good, VERY OVERRATED. Deep down is Cena a good wrestler? Maybe. But too bad, we may never know, but if he is more talented then what he is, then it's a shame because he WILL always go down as the WWE's front boy with no talent, bad gimmick, and most of all a push down our throats that would make any hardcore wrestling fan throw up. I would hate to think he REALLY DOES suck that bad. We may never really know.

  • @MrAwake2me

Cena doesn't suck that bad he has a lot more moves than the other guy they jammed down our throats (Hulk Hogan). I'm a fan of John Cena because he is the one there with the best work ethic though his skills leave much to be desired. I saw Cena do some great stuff before they kept dumping gimmicks on him but sadly with the WWE style he can't do many moves.

Example, WWE took MVP and made him look like shit NJPW made MVP a great rising star.

The writers are dumb as shit over in WWE

    =(

  • I'm not a Cena fan not a hater either, but I'll bet if he went to Japan he'd have the best matches of his career. Trust me he can do lots more than the five moves of doom and he's such a good storyteller in the ring that the Japanese fans would go crazy for his psychology. Hogan was better in Japan before and after he won the WWF title, he did dropkicks, enziguri, much more mat wrestling than he ever did in North America.

  • Did someone really compare Cena to the two guys? That is some funny shit.

Cena = WWE's kid cronie....the equivalent to what they did with Hogan during the first 8 years of his career...

  • 2 of the best to ever come out of Japan

  • WIIIZZZZZZZZZZAAAAAAAAAAAAARDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • great match

  • Keiji Mutoh as himself is just as awesome as his two other counterparts like Muta and the Dark Monk gimmick he played. Of course everyone knows Keiji as Muta more than anything else.

  • @ShaolinDynasty- Kokushi "black angel". it was for a short-lived tag team with Hakushi "white angel"

  • @bladestormviking It was pretty cool at the time...nonetheless, we all can agree, Keiji Mutoh is just awesome.

  • @ShaolinDynasty agreed. this is the guy who made me go "oh damn, i gotta watch this..."

  • Wizzaaaaarddddd!!!!!!

  • 1996 called. They want their match back.

  • @fireproof30 please, that's like saying Undertaker and Shawn Michaels should have left their feud in the 90s. These guys are legends who can put on great matches to this day

  • When was Liger dressing like this with his shirt off, his eyes and mouth showing?

  • Liger > Muta

  • Comment removed

  • i think the great muta is gone, in his place, keiji mutoh, the maker of the great muta

  • this match was beautifully done. Hats off to both legends Mutoh and Liger! They both shined..But that shining wizard is beast!!! No one does it better..

  • I wish Mutoh could've made a few appearances on WWE. Mutoh vs. Benoit would've been an epic match-up.

  • this announcer kinda makes me think of a mix of JR and Joey Styles...dont know why though :D

  • Drewey, you sir are an uneducated heathen. This match from a student standpoint was beautifully done and true wrestling entertainment.

  • whats with the mask?

  • Has Liger ever beaten Mutoh?

  • Only once, when liger turns in kishin liger, and Mutoh was impersoned as great Mutah, he rip offs liger mask and under was make up as kishin liger (the god of tigers), the match is over there in tube...

  • I've seen the match where Kishin Liger appears, but Muto still got the pin. Unless there is another match where Kishin Liger appears that I'm not aware of....?

  • @satanasgirl Kishin Liger faced I believe BADBOY Hido a couple of years back.

  • Liger didn't beat Muta in that match.

  • gr8 match! altho muto should have been allowed 2 do more 2 justify the ending. lol the announcer "SHIIIINING WIIIZAAAAAD!!!!"

  • 恵、頑張れ!!!

  • 太厲害了

    反敗為勝

  • Motoh's wrestling tights look pretty cool

  • that's sad, Jyushin had Mutoh OWNED all the match long, and all of a sudden - shining wizard - and it's over. I don't like the booking here, at all.

  • Hey, at least it's Mutoh overcoming the odds and not John Cena overcoming the odds for a change, LOL

  • you should never have the priveledge of watching this match or any other njpw ever again - cena is a chump with no talent - these 2 are immortal legends with over 20 yrs experience each

  • Guess I shouldn't say he is the shittiest wrestler, but I still hate Batista.

  • well, your entitled to your opinion! for the record, i've not seen cena vs edge but i don't think i can sit through a cena match if i was paid. I just find him talentless

  • That's fine with me. I think Cena can be VERY good in big matches. I can definitely see why some wouldn't like him though. His promos are horrid, kiddy fanbase, limited moveset, etc.

I just enjoy a lot of different types of wrestling. For example, KENTA is my favorite wrestler at the moment, but I also think SD is a really good show.

  • @nickfrohead82 I know, dont you just love Mutoh!

  • @nickfrohead82

If Cena Sucked he wouldn't have the spot he has.

  • @michiyoyoshiku - i bet you still believe in santa claus too.

  • @michiyoyoshiku

Cena's entertaining and loves his job.

Wrestling ability-wise, he pretty much sucks balls.

  • @matrixsoulpriest

He's pulled some great matches out of his ass

  • @michiyoyoshiku good example of that being one night tand 2006 vs RVD. it was an incredible match with a horrible finish, but cena did something very few current wrestlers can't do. get booed out of the state and still put on one hell of a match.

  • That kinda happened in their other match. Muta ran it, Liger got unmasked....but, as he got towards the end, he tried to stab Muta...Muta countered, hit the Handspring elbow, Moonsault, finish. I woulda had Liger go over in THAT one for sure. I think they were building up the Shining Wizard as a "one hit kill" type of move. Now he uses like 9 a match!!

  • this is wrestling

  • I remember seeing this match in 02 or 03. Even 7 years later...DAMN. I want Mutoh's Cross Wizard shirt. Liger, thought short is built like a ton of bricks as he always was. And while I was watching, I realized why the fuck is Chow Yun Fat playing Master Roshi in that shitty Dragonball movie instead of Keiji Mutoh ROFLMAO!!

  • when did liger change his attire?

  • This is his heavyweight attire. Basically he takes of his shirt and puts on the mask he wore during his one and only MMA match.

  • True....... Didnt he get Choked out in the MMA Match?

  • I don't know the exact finish, but he got his ass handed too him.

  • he missed a rolling koppu kick, got grounded and pounded and the opponent applied a rear naked chokehold that choked him out

  • When was this match??? Muta is fuckin huge compared to Liger

  • Lyger is 5'9", 210 lbs, so he usually looks short against most heavyweights. Muta is about 6'2"-6'3", 245, so the size difference can be quite obvious.

  • I thought nobody can scream louder than JR when he scream "Stone cold. Stone cold." This guy gives JR a run for his money when he yells "Shining WIIIIIZARD."

  • SHIT! Mutoh looks HUGE compared to Lyger. I love how Lyger has a "heavyweight" attire...gotta love him. Nice shining wizard, the announcer went FUCKIN CRAZY, gotta love the japs

  • @bvargasjr Mutoh's always been a big boy lol. Watch him as Muta vs Hulk Hogan in 1993. Theyre almost identical.

  • Awesome. These are two of the best...

  • I wish American wrestling was more like this.

  • Some American wrestling isn't bad, but most of the good stuff is in the indies like ROH and CHIKARA

  • This was a rematch from a long long time ago. Awesome match!

  • More Ligers 'Battle Liger'Look.

  • 面白い試合ですね!お互い持ち味が良く出ていて、試合のリズムに緩急があって飽きさせませんね^^

  • That was an awesome match. Everytime Keiji Mutoh and Jushin Thunder Liger climb into the you are guaranteed a match containing world class ring psychology and wreslting. I grew up watching these guys on Eurosport as a kid in the 90's and they are still awesome all these years later.

  • when did liger change his look?

  • Jushin thunder Liger was wearing his shoot fighting/ MMA mask. the one he wore for Pancrase.

  • the wrestling world would know for sure if Liger was no longer with us, I assure you.

  • Ur so right about that! After all he put the cruiser weights on the map in the 1980's! When he's gone the wrestling world will indeed take a major change!

  • 1990's*

  • why dont they just do what they do with Tiger Mask give the mask to someone else who deserves it and wrestles like him

  • because Liger (unlike Sayama, the original Tiger Mask, got disgusted at one point and quit wrestling entirely) never stopped wrestling despite a brain tumor or even after putting 20 plus years in (he was a youngboy when Dynamite Kid and Sayama revolutionized the Junior Heavy style) and even if someone did have his style, passing the Liger mask would be too much like Tiger Mask and therefore would cheapen the gimmick. Even the 4 Tiger Masks have their own unique styles

  • ok thanks for the insight

  • he had a tumor?

  • ok i just asking is liger still alive

  • SHINING WIZAAARRRD!!! Japanese commentary rules!

  • I really liked Liger in his Battle Liger when he competed with the heavyweights instead of Juniors. I wish they let him hold the IWGP belt even for a short while.

  • Superb match and chemistry between these two shakers of the puroresu era. I think this is the first time since lygers brain surgery that he executed a moonsault?

  • anyone think Mutoh keiji looks like Perry Saturn.

  • HELL 2 THE NAW!

  • @hydra555 I dunno, Saturn's pretty damn fugly. Not saying Mutoh's attractive but I'm sure the chicks would dig him over Saturn - no homo.

  • not even remotely possible, with mutoh born in 1962 and liger being born in 1964.

  • they're still in damn good shape for their age

  • what happened to muta he looks like a old man now compared to the 90s when he was in his prime.

  • muta is only 45.. he cut off his hair bcuase of a noticable bald spot he had over the years.. so he decided 2 get rid of it all. & now this is how he preforms as Keji Muta. yet he still wrestles as the Great Muta but wears a mask. He still kicks azz!!!!!

  • yeah muta is a wrestling legend

  • @thatsmr2usir His bald Muta look is CREEPY lol.

  • "what happened to muta he looks like a old man now compared to the 90s when he was in his prime."

    Muta got older.

  • @jb0609 yup usually when people get older, thats what happens, people get older, GENIUS.

  • @billysuede

    Hey moron

    Then why ask that question?

  • @jb0609

he finally realized that the bald spot isn't working with the gimmick...

  • @jb0609 No shit! Growing older each year is Manditory.

  • @spanky122873

    Then why ask that question?

  • Wow, its so weird seeing Liger without the wholebody suit and without the horns on his mask lol.

  • Yes, the man can throw a SHOTEI (Japanese Bitch Slap...lmao) with the best of em.

  • LOL at 8:57 Mutoh says ''motherfuck''

    Mutoh/Muta 4 ever

  • if you see muta vs liger

you can clearly hear muta say "oh fuck"

  • Jushin's name with that outfit was Battle Lyger in the game All Star Pro Wrestling 3, with the full body outfit it was Jushin Thunder Lyger.

  • SHINING WIZARD!!!!

  • there s a lot of acting in those in

    of fights right?

  • This match was great and it had an awesome finish to it. They gave it all they had up until Mutoh hit the Shinning Wizard. Liger and Mutoh are two of the best ever and this match just shows how great their chemistry and in-ring psychology is.

  • agreed...

  • this was an INTENSE good ol` WRESTLING match MAN!!!! that first slap from Lyger was damn hard!!! it took Mutoh about 45 seconds to get back in the ring DAMN!!! that must have hurt....

  • Liger looks buff there.

  • Is this like a match from Jushin's early years or something.

  • no this is later years, prob a few years ago rather recent, notice cause muta has no hair

  • the power of ignorance compells you

  • Shining Wizard!!! Keiji Muto and Jushin Lyger are living legends. Sigh...if only American wrestling was more serious like Japanese wrestling, i'd probably be watching it still.

  • Amen to that. And to think Pro-Wrestling came from America, yet Japanese Wrestling is the most purest form of Pro-Wrestling.

  • Well, if you want to get technical Pro-wrestling started in France in the 1800's

  • American wrestling will never be taken seriously. It's always about ENTERTAINMENT and BUSINESS!!!

  • your god damn right

  • Liger and Muta may be older, but their chemistry in the ring has not gotten stale.

  • This match is so deep in psychology is a pleasure to watch. When you compare this to their 96 match you can see how they have modified their style to acomodate their aging bodies and they're still great wrestlers. There lies the genius of Mutoh and Liger.

  • You hit the nail on the head. Mutoh and Liger could teach a thing or two to guys like Hogan, who just slow to a crawl. That is assuming the guy had talent to fall back on.

  • LIGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH BOMBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how long ago was this

  • SHIIIINIIIIIING WIZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what event was this from?

  • Great match, watching these 2 is like watching 2 bulls fight.

  • Good stuff,nymeria83. Well worked match by 2 very solid veterans.Though not as spectacular as they once were, they are both ring generals who know how to work within their limitations to produce entertaining and stiff matches.
