  • Very interest video Mike.

A very beautiful walk. I've followed everything in "Google Earth" and "Street View". You live in a beautiful area.

  • @WoelkerVideo Hi Gunter. Thanks for coming along too! We are fortunate to be living in the area these days!

  • Another fascinating walk about Mike....I thoroughly enjoyed that...By the way, like you I rarely take a tripod on walks, but have you tried the new anti-shake filter available in the editing options through YouTube....it's a superb and very effective thing to use, and you can apply it it an excisting upload....you get a comparison to see the difference then apply it if you're happy with the results...You then have to wait a while to allow it to process....Bob

  • @robmasterman Hi Bob. Once again I am indebted to you for useful info. I did not know about that new youtube facility. I will look into it!

  • @robmasterman Just got around to trying it on this video Bob. I hope the results show an improvement as on the other videos i have used it on. Thanks again!

  • @ADMIRALSCORNER There still seems to be some unstable sequences Mike, have you allowed it to fully process, and also made sure that although it gives you a split screen showing what it will look like, you have to click on the SAVE button for the improvement to be processed.....Bob

  • @robmasterman Hi Bob. I did click on Save. I didnt watch the whole video through in the split screens before i clicked on Save as it seemed to improve the situation. I guess thats ok to do. I think I can detect the slight swinging motion it introduces. I suppose there are limits to what it can do.

  • @ADMIRALSCORNER It can't have finished processing when I viewed it Mike, as this is much better now....unfortunately a passing train causes some problems, but overall it's very effective. It's at it's best when the content has little fast movement within it....Bob

  • Thank you Mike and Happy new year.

    Philippe

  • @PhilbruProduction Hi Philippe. May i also wish you the same just before it arrives in Europe!

  • What a lovely part of thr UK you are in. Looked very cold. Keep warm.

  • @Daikenboy This time last year we had snow! The place looked very different then but interesting still to see animal tracks etc.

  • There used to be a passing loop opposite Snailholt Farm. I read recently (link lost) that the Exmoor NP people are examining ways to encourage greater rail access to the park. (As done in Snowdonia with the WHR.) The report mentioned the WSR (& Barnstable), and said that special trains could be run in off the mainline. To facilitate this, reinstated passing loops might be necessary at Snailholt or on the Minehead-Dunster stretch. Grants might be made for these.

  • @hatyaitube That is interesting to hear. It would be good to get some more passing loops back on the railway. They may also serve to speed up any future commuting service to Taunton which would be a great benefit.

  • Very interesting and informative film Mike around the byways of Watchet. There always seems much more to Watchet than meets the eye. Nice shot of the Manor going over the bridge. How about starting up "Mike's guided Tours of Watchet"? You'd make a fortune!!! All the best to you....Tim.

  • @siobhan104 Now theres an idea! Thanks Tim!

  • I have a web link that may interest you regarding a home made Steadicam that might be useful to you in making your walkabout movies. For some reson YouTube doesn't want me to post it here but if you Google Steadicam and look at the $14 item you will see what I mean.

  • @huntleym Yes, such a device could prove very useful!

  • Another lovely nostalgice video, especially as it's currently way below freezing here in Burlington Ontario and snowing gently. Thanks Mike

  • @huntleym Brr! I dont fancy being that cold! So far the winter here has been relatively mild. I hope it stays that way!
