The story of Mike, Mickey and John is one of the funniest things I've ever heard! I like the story John told about Mike disguising himself to go on Disney rides. His disguise: A big black sambrero hat, a mustache and a black and red cape. When John saw the disguise, he sarcastically said "Yeah Mike, no one will notice you now!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I worked with John Landis. He is aggressive and abrasive in order to have people move who work with him. Only his wife and kids would know for sure, but I suspect it is a professional cover for him. In speaking about Michael with me, he seemed to have a sincere admiration for him.
I never appreciated it went Landis spoke about how Michael lived. He said how he went to MJ's house, back when they were doing Thriller, and he talked about how bizarre his bedrooom was, how he only had a mattress on the floor and toys all over the place. Like, there was no reason for him to air that. That's nobody's business. With him saying stuff like that, he's just adding to the controversy.
I don't like him. Yes and it was very special and amazing to work with him cause he gave yaa lots of money.. Same Dang story over and over again. I want MJ back -3 my heart still aches for him and this makes me wondering who truly where his friends :(
Shit John, I love you for telling the story about Disneyland. And you seemed to work so well with Mike. But why do you keep saying he's weird, strange, nutty? Michael's dead and you keep saying these things. WHY? Who is he telling, who needs this affirmation exactly? Is it his kids? His family? The millions of fans across the globe? I used to respect him so much, but this is hurtful. I really don't get why he can't compliment him without demeaning him at the same time.
awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww bless you john ..i know you care and respect about our mickey our angel :) micheal is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to sweeet awlays full of love :)
@tybash No, your *comment* is not fair. He is not a killer, nor anyone else. It was an accident and nothing more. Accidents happen in life and sometimes they take people's lives; that is just the sad truth. Yes the scene was intense and it could be argued that children shouldn't have been in it, but, I can think of MANY intense, dangerous scenes kids have been in, in movies, so this is no different in that respect.
John Landis almost sobbed. Good. That's as it should have been over the death of the great Michael Jackson. Landis was not alone and though most of the sobbing has stopped, every now and then, there's still tears. In more time, they will stop, too.
Mr. Landis there is no need for you to apologize for the loss you are feeling over Michael's death, we need more ppl like you to be honest and open your hearts over Michael. It is a tremendous loss to the world and I feel the loss everyday...Thank God all 3 of you made it out of Disney World unharmed....LOL
I love MJ and am still sad he's gone, but we all know he had some issues-and for some very explainable reasons. I think John Landis genuinely liked him, but he also recognized Michael's problems - which is a true friend! Maybe Landis offended Michael, but don't forget, MJ died owing Landis money. He was one of the first to be paid by the estate.
"He was nuts but very sweet". We, fans, have heard this already lots of times from the media. And ppl, like Landis, for instance, could ignore such epithets at least now, when Michael is not with us anymore, and because he (Landis) shared a wonderful time "being privileged working with Michael Lackson" for all that.
I dont think I like this;he gives a compliment and then says Michael is strange.Just be nice and quit saying he is weird and so much other crap. Sigh...can no one but his fans and family see that we are all allowed to be individuals...just MJ did his own thing,he was his own person. I admire him for that.
@supermjjfan1 And that's what made MJ who he turned out to be. The world's most creative and talented musical genius we will ever see. You don't get that if you follow others. I know what you mean. People can't help sort of balancing out their compliments with a few cheap negative shots about how weird MJ was. Notice he doesn't give examples though?? Talking out of his arse. I liked him until I heard this!
Well,I am tired of people saying backhanded things about Michael .Who the fuck is Landis? He killed kids on a movie set cause he wasnt safe. And he thought Michael was weird? At least MJ didnt kill anybody.
It's great John is sharing his feelings for Michael. However, strange?? In what way? And 'death by celebrity'?? No John. At the hands of others? Privileged? Yes you were!! Very much so!! Thanks to the poster of this video.
LMFAO--Oh gosh, what an AMAZING story about Disneyland, MJ was truly the best of artist in the world, probably the best the world has EVER had. John and Mickey will always remeber this >3 :')
That shocked me that he kinda started to cry. I don't mind. I just don't like...it sounds like he's contradicting himself..Idk. He said MJ is odd, but was real caring and genuinly nice. Which i believe, i just don't think he was strange.
Thanks.Too many people on here get smarmy about anything these Hollywood vultures say. Any little crumb is just that,a crumb. Michael is the whole damn loaf! LOL
@selemawit14 I'm with you. I also picked up on that. Some people just can't resist the feeding frenzy trashy tabloids' spin on Michael. He WASN'T weird. He was a gifted and creative beautifully sensitive human being. Maybe what he means is in today's lack of values standards, that has become weird. The alternative of couldn't give a shit, tread over everyone else to get to the top, only care about yourself, use and abuse, discriminate and hate is the norm now?
Aw. That made me so sad when John started crying. Michael must have really touched him. Aww Michael was very kind. I want people to learn this that he was a very sweet man. He never hurt a fly. Thank you so much for posting this it was fun hearing this story. I love hearing true stories about michael. I miss you our angel. Justice 4 Michael
LMAOOOOOOOO!!!! What a funny story about Dinsney Land!!!! You know I was starting to get really pissed off at John Landis for the way he always talked about Michael after he passed. But after seeing this Im kinda having a change of heart. Its nice to see John showing some emotion because I always felt he was smiling a bit much when speaking about Michael. But now I understand that is him fighting back emotion. I miss Michael so much!! :'(
I can tell that John Landis really cared for Michael. Thank you John for sharing your experiences of what a sweet, caring, loving, brilliant man Michael was and how he touched everyone that knew him.
