  • ford has an ego with chevy, because the 5.7 chevy ford had to go up one litre and with the 5.8 instead of 350 "351" the "5.0" yall say is actually a 4.9 and the 5.3 litre ford went up another with the 5.4, but a 5.3 vortec 327 has more horsepower than the 5.4 litre 341, its quite funny ford just has the firing order all wrong but when they completly redid the cobra engine they did good cause they changed the firing order but the firing order for a small block chevy 18436572 vortec is #1 stock HP

  • @HYBRIDhater a chevy 5.3 is a 325 not a 327 and a ford 5.4 is a 331 not a 341.

  • @tk7286 ummmmm it depends on the crank how big the heads are, MOOOOOOST of the time it's a 327 and most of the time it is a 341

  • @HYBRIDhater ford dose not make a 341 and a chevy 327 is 5.4 as far as the heads go you do not use the Combustion Chamber volum unles you are doing the compression ratio

  • nah apparently the lexus v8 is too wide. Bullet have a custom chassis that enables the fit of the lexus v8, at least that is what ive been led to believe.

  • u clearly have NO clue what ur talking about the chevy 327 vortec in a tahoe gets better gas mileg than a mid sized V-6 sedan(do some research)

  • I know a guy who did the swap with a stock 5.0 in his Miata. The weight is a ZERO issue. The car does low 12s, high 11s in the 1/4 and 0 -60 is about 4 0r 5 seconds.

  • my early 1990 miata (first year) weighed 2240 pounds on the scales at the dragstrip... with a little less than 1/2 a tank in it.

  • hmm. i hope it doesn't weigh 2600 lbs; a stock 1st gen miata weighs ~2200 lbs

  • People have put LS6s in Miatas to have it weigh a little more than that (2680). But the power compensates for the increased weight.

    And the NA's that weigh 2200 are fairly stock, as well as most likely 1.6l. My '94 M Edition is a 1.8l and weighs about 2400.

  • you guys realize that the ls1 is all aluminum right? the motor weighs just about 200lbs which doesnt really change the weight of the motor too much. tranny and rear end though... eh youre still not gonna get up to 2700 lbs on a NA or M1 or first gen, whatever you want to call it.
