@DeBalaguer You are right about Kabinett not being the dry end of German sweet wines. But to be even more precise: Kabinett and Spätlese are no indication whatsoever of the sweetness level of the wine; but rather a reference to the sugar content of the grapes as harvested. So Sp. can be either drier or sweeter than K. To find out how sweet the content of any one bottle is: read and interpret the label! If it does NOT say Trocken, Classic or Selektion, it's bound to be sweet to some extent.
