  • subaru mechanic my ass

  • You look young. How did you get a job as a mechanic?

  • man once youre out of first you dont even need the clutch...

  • @07hawkeyeftw The clutch is there for a reason.. If you don't use the clutch then you will just damage the gearbox.

  • What is your reason for even having a stage 2 clutch? You probably have like 100whp if it is the stock motor...

  • Stupid americans

  • So im gonna go into third gear. Cool story bro. Tell it again?

  • I LOOK LIKE A MORMAN, HAHAHAH

  • Do me a favor, and wear a seatbelt next timeee haha please. But I lovee this video ;) I just started learning to 5 speed, so thank you so so much.

  • @rjskt59 Clutch in to start the car??? WTF I've got a Prodrive WRX and an 400bhp twinscroll STI and have NEVER done this ever and cars have been starting fine for years... doesn't mention this in owners manual either. Is this just a U.S. thing? Also the STI has an Exedy Stage 2 clutch...

  • @geogan2 well you see, sometimes people keep their car in gear when they turn it off to ensure they dont roll down a hill.

  • Nice way to not watch your left side as your backing out of the drive way, You might want to learn how to drive before giving advice!

  • I wish I was a pretentious douche.

  • Lol for all the peeps that r insulting this kid just because he's got a stage 2 racing clutch, so what? What was the point of this video? It wasn't mainly about the racing clutch lmao

  • lol wow. my dad has the same car just its a 97. it's a pos. lol get a new car.

  • Time to teach them how to shift from 2nd to 3rd no clutch ; D

  • @udaman21 btw, i meant to say it will stall if you some how manage to get the car sarted

  • @gunmunkee You have no choice to leave it in neutral when you start, but you still need to hold the clutch or else you'll probably stall

  • do you always dress like that?

  • This guy is a faggot.

  • hes one of those heroes with tinted headlights.

  • haha stage 2 clutch is much more easy to drive, i hate stock clutches, and subu's are harder to learn stick in.

  • You need a BLOV on that Subaru!

  • kool

  • You can't start the car without the clutch in? Really? Why not just leave it in neutral?

  • @gunmunkee On (all?) subarus clutch has to be all the way in regardless of gear, otherwise you can't start the car. I won't argue whether that's good/bad/safer/annoying, just the way it is.

  • Are you driving a 98 legacy wrx swap?

  • Seems like any one who dislikes this video, mainly dislikes it because the kid is white. Honestly there is absolutely alot of information on this video to learn from.

  • once you go manual you never go back to automatic

  • the only thing i understood was im a white rich boy

  • @JELNENE1 I lol'd, since when do you have to be rich to have a 1998 wagon subaru? XD

  • Top Siders +Add 10hp

    Chrome 'Type-R' Style Shift Knob +Add 50hp

  • nice shoes man lmao

  • spoiled whiteboy douche

  • @timsa626 how its a 4 grand car, if that

  • smooth shifting

  • man this kid takes it in the corn hole, no doubt about it.

  • fagg

  • you think you're a stud with a racing clutch.

  • @bachmeier2 I've always been a stud

  • @zachwingfield haha i like your attitude

  • @bachmeier2 .. Everyone watch out ... hes got a stage 2 clutch .. hahaha !!!

  • Dude, Where is your seatbelt

  • fag

  • good vid man, good for you for savin up for that subi. Im currently saving some dough for a R32 GTS-T

  • @671GrainsOfOwn thanks man-good luck

  • i dont belive in manuals! im sorry to say but im callin this video fake... haha jkjk. sweet car dude. Is that an impreza wagon? i wasnt completly sure haha. Ive got a 2009 wrx and its a fuckin monsterr

  • @patman99290 nice-no it's actually a Legacy wagon

  • @zachwingfield nice. good lookin car. i like the tint on the front lights. i have that on my tail lights. it looks sickk. espessially cause its that grey color that they got now, and the light pretty much blend in

  • is this a 96 with a hoodscoop and painted blue? I have a 96 outback wagon

  • @zachwingfield ah, like i said i could tell it was very close to my year. 96 they only had the 2.5 L motor with auto, so thats what my dad bought

  • I so need to repair my clutch... FML. F. M. L.

  • yoo nice video helped a lot it seems like ur way to close to the wheel though

  • What kind of camera did u use?

  • @JasonBrodbeckWebsite Canon Rebel T2i

  • @zachwingfield thx, preatty insane video lol and nice car!

  • Dude... I wish I was you...Nice car. Is that the 2008 Wagon?

  • @daavee03 unless this is sarcasm. you arnt very intelligent...

  • @patman99290

He is a year older then me and already drives a Subaru. How much cooler can you get?

Plus I am a qualified I.T technician, and have been building computers and networks since the age of 11... I am just a nice guy, who likes Subaru's...

  • @daavee03 lol your 10 years off man. It's a 1998 Wagon

  • @daavee03 lol u are joking right? fly can see thats interiour from 90's :P

  • why is the top button of your shirt done up? can you breathe?!?!?

  • nice bike rack douche bag

  • @xXxchipperchopperxXx Bike racks are sick dude. Best sleeper accessory ever.

  • @andyjv2000 no your wrong best ricer accessories ever they look like shit and make the car look cheap

  • @xXxchipperchopperxXx I've snowboarded since I was 13 and started mountain biking in Germany when I was 6. I use my rack unlike those who do it for looks. Even for them-why do you care? It does make the appearance of your car seem to look more valuable and classy. Get off youtube if your gonna hate punk

  • @zachwingfield Tell 'em brotha. He was obviously adopted and his parents don't love him.

  • @xXxchipperchopperxXx Ricer accessories? You obviously have no idea what the definition of a sleeper is, nor what any good looking car is all about. You probably drive around in a 1990 Olsmobile and are jealous of all these "ricers". Do yourself a favor and just stop typing.

  • @andyjv2000 yes ricer accessories im not calling the car a ricer just sayin that a car does not need a bike rack to look good they look tacky and cheap and no i dont drive an olds i have a 1.8 swapped turbo miata pushin 295 HP to the wheels yeah its not much but in a car that weighs 2000 pound with me in it and a full tank of gas its pretty quick in fact quick enough to hold its own with a 09 Z06 <-- light mods cold air intake and catback exhaust

  • @xXxchipperchopperxXx Nice fail insult, lizard-brained imbecile.

  • Thanks for the tips ron weasley! Also you don't have to push the clutch in to start older manual cars.

  • nig does coke

  • Is that just a legacy wagon with an exhaust and painted rally blue? awsome first car for anyone who wants a wrx or sti, but cant afford it

  • @mrds501 Legacy's are the same "model", just different a different engine/internals. Fun fact: subaru only uses one ECU on all their vehicles, which means you can drop an STI engine in a 1990 Outback. Bad news behind this, the engine harness runs literally all the way to the tail lights...so it ALL has to get changed out. But boy does it make a kick ass sleeper. My friend has an STI engine in a 98 Outback pushing 580bhp...boy does nobody expect that coming.

  • that a nice rumble that subbie makes :p

  • its hard to teach someone how to drive a stick... especially on an awd..there very unforgiving..my friend found this out when he bought his wrx 5 spd

  • @mazdasuv94 Boy did I burn my bosses clutch the first time driving his...eeeek...

  • @mazdasuv94 AND it was only a stage one Exidy...O.o.

  • lol Yanks crack me up. its like some massive achivement "driving stick" lol. In the europe we just call that driving.

  • @kobimzr what in a junkyard

  • Buy American Faggot

  • @MrPowerlifter13 he probably wants his car to last

  • @kobimzr Just look at his name. Not worth it.

  • @MrPowerlifter13 yeh he obviously wanted to be able to go round corners

  • i look like a mormon, lmao funny shit. good video though

  • If you think automatic's suck your in the dark on all forms of racing. Auto's dominate in drag, don't be so quick to think auto's suck just because your grandma drives one.

  • I love the sound of subaru's lol

  • i could not beleve it ... what an idiots !!!!!!!

  • fukn dumbass kids

  • 5 speed's rule automatics? Try to race that subaru with a 5 speed.

    watch?v=k2TX_g5MzwY

  • stage 2 a little stiffer?! are you serious?

  • i usually do clutch,shift,release ebrake and gas...does that make sense? :)

  • Did Daddy buy your car?

  • @SOCal99gsT That's funny you think that-your so quick to judge. I spent 2 years when I was 15 land scaping, baby sitting, and doing a lot of odd jobs trying to make money and putting it all into savings. and I finally came up with 4k. I'm a hard worker. Don't judge people

  • @zachwingfield You paid 4k for that? How is that possible

  • @zachwingfield wait.... How did you spend 2 years when you were 15? Wouldnt that mean you were 15 for 2 years? Plus downshifting is useless unless you are worried about saving on brakes.. And if you are so worried about your stage 2 clutch then dont use your clutch to shift.

  • @zachwingfield I salute to you. I'm basically doing the same thing. I forced to work in a gas station, since there's no other job that's better paying-ish, for 2 years until I can get my 15k. AND I'm 18.

  • @zachwingfield youre a good role model.

  • Comment removed

  • @SOCal99gsT Who cares if he did. Quit being a hater and let the dude like his car.

  • @rodgazinya cause that would make him a spoiled fuck.. Work for your car or stfu

  • @SOCal99gsT I did work for my car-so you stfu. Go haze a kid who didn't work for theirs.

  • @SOCal99gsT hahaha

  • @SOCal99gsT Just because you were lazy and wasted the money you had on weed at that age doesn't mean everyone else did.

  • I rather have my dad teach me manual hes been driving manual cars all his life his experience is better >:D

  • i know alot of cocky kids with there cars and no offecne but they are are lil up the ass poloks who think there all that and they cant even drive stick i mean i learned my first time trying it

  • yeah, you only want to be on the clutch or have it in for as lttle time as you can accomplish. rollin' in top gear and comin' to a stop while riding the clutch all the way is BAD! either pop her into neutral and coast to a stop or downshift. personally, i downshift if i'm in 3rd or higher or goin' at least 30ish mph...and please try to make your shifts as smooth and comfortable as possible, for the sake and ease on your passengers. don't make your passengers bobble heads after each shift.

  • seatbelt?

  • i learned on a stage 3 sprung 6 puck.....and if you let that fucker more than 2.5 inches off the floor without gas first.....its ugly

  • Seems like ur riding the clutch a bit too much there

  • @KashmirShahzad What are you talking about? He's doing the exact opposite to that, he's barely using his clutch.. Don't tell him what he's doing wrong if you don't know what you're talking about haha.

  • @Larry3200 2:58 onwards watch the whole video next time. haha.

  • use your mirrors danny boy

  • SUBARU

  • wtf a subaru with type r shift knob?

  • you dont have to give it gas/rev to pull off. most cars can pull of just by letting the cluth out smoothly, even sometimes up a hill (with enough torque)

  • i dont get how people cant stick shift? im guessing your all americans? i mean my sister is 12 and she knows how to, obviously in the car park, but she still can do it! i dont get what is so hard with push clutch in, change gear and slowly let it out... you only ever let it out quickly if you are driving quickly... or racing?

  • @mcmanus1806 I know it's weird haha

  • @mcmanus1806 what gets people is getting out of first gear, i now thats what i had a hard time with

  • @mcmanus1806 lol americans do know how to drive stick actually, just depends on if they want to drive stick or not. i know a few students in my high school who drive stick, including myself

  • it seems like your sitting to close the the wheel, i did the same when i started driving stick, but u shouldn't be sitting to close

  • @mcmanus1806 Probably want to learn correct grammar before you start trying to condescend a bunch of people.

  • haha cool cool

  • any good tips for a new stick driver you might have forgot?

  • @kingofdacastle1 hmmm...... don't give it gas until after you've shifted or you can burn your clutch

  • ferris bueller finally got a car, eh?

  • lol i adore manual

  • if you sit and hold down the clutch all the time while stopped, you can wear out the throwout bearing.

  • @wtfanman60 Really? haha I didn't know that-good to keep in mind.

  • Good, good-and of course, how do you plan on putting in the cat?

  • I have an auto :( but I can drive stick. I have trouble shifting. Like i never know to just let it out, or do it slow. What does it mean to drop it? Still love your subie. I want an 2000-2001 RS next. Hopefully 5spd. But if an auto with a great deal comes along, im gonna grab it.

  • @SubieSean Bro please take my advice, if you ever, I mean ever, get a 2.5 RS, so help me God get a stick shift haha I don't care about a good deal, look through the window and if you see it's an automatic then oh well let the next buyer take it. For real you will regret not owning a 5 speed, they're fun to drive, get you great gas mileage, idk but I could just go on and on. Droppin it means to down shift. Hey Sean if you need help on your car with anything request a tutorial and I'll make it;)

  • @zachwingfield haha sure thing dude. I'll get a 5spd. And thanks man! Yesterday my check engine light went on, checked all fluids, tire pressure, gas cap. My bud had a OBD scanner......lucky me......I need a catalytic converter....

  • lol
