Dudes, here in Brazil, we don't have snow, but a lot of dunes, so Sandboard is growing up very fast here and getting professional. I think that is harder but not too fast like in snow.

I think they use a different wax than on a snowboard. The form can also be slightly different as the head and tip of the board are, in comparison to a snowboard, not identical to one another. But that doesn't count for every board :P

The bindings are definetly different from that of a snowboard.

hey i snow board a have a few old snowboards at home can you just use regular snowboards with regular bindings and boots? or r the sand boards much different? and how so? this stuff looks awsum as!! cant believe theres a championship 4 it!! i want in! lol

It is a little slower and you ll have to lean back a little more but still you can get quite fast and usually sand is softer when you fall than snow. It s def worth a try!
