  • there's something magical about good old records/LPs and mono mixes- they were the way music was meant to be played, the way it was created..

  • you read all about how phil spectors orchestrations covered up lennons bad bass playing?!?!?!

when lennon died, my neighbors got there hands on this album, played it over and over again, ect...then my mom took it away for reasons only inside her head.

  • @TEMPmichaelhansen Richard Hewson did the orchestration. It covers up pretty average performances.

  • @dutchgoing the undoctored version is on anthology and a beatles book points out IN CD TIME where each bass playing mistake was at. who did the orchestra? Phil Spector or Richard Hewson ? also for sound quality, does your videocamera have a microphone input?

  • @MichaelHansenFUN I understand that Richard Hewson wrote the arrangements dubbed on all tracks that had them on 'Let it Be' long after the Savile Row sessions in Jan 1969. The L&WR dubbing session took place on the 1st April 1970, with only Ringo Starr in attendance. The album's producer, though he was never at the original sessions was Phil Spector. He was pretty twitchy and nasty and managed to upset everybody that day. The 2009 re-masters are just dreadful, dry & awful to hear.

  • @MichaelHansenFUN To be honest the bass playing is just very simple bland pedal note stuff, never sounded bad to me really.

  • I love the Beatles, but Phil Spector just covered them up on this album :(

  • @DinoDude65

yeah...actually, it's a pity that Let It Be was the last LP they released...It should have been Abbey Road...

  • @crazynicktaxi Dont know why people hate on Let It Be. Its a Terrific album, and holds its own against any other Beatles album. I"ve Got a Feeling, Across the Universe, the Long and Winding Road, Get Back, Two of Us, Dig a Pony, Let It Be, etc.......its a fine album. I couldnt think of a better Swan Song than the Long and Winding Road. It was a perfect song to bring an end to the group. Dont hate....this is a Great album

  • Great Version, brilliant!!!

  • ive got this one, glorious glossy pix, poster an all!

  • Great video, love that Apple label! Just picked up a NM- Vinyl set of 'All Things' for $40, had the CD for years, but this is my first vinyl copy!

  • Lovely!!!

  • I love vinyl - static and all... I like the reading the covers and the liner notes while I listen.
