  • How can these guys be almost unheard of by so many people?

Yet bands like LMFAO who make a 'hit' even though its music that i'm guessing only 5 yr olds high on cough medicine listen to

  • Damn I'm really liking these guys.

  • the "honky tonk woman" loop is GREAT!

  • memo...i love you

  • Wow, absolutely fucking awesome. Can't believe I hadn't this before.

  • @CMaxCooper Hadn't what?! D:

  • Oh wow this is my neighborhood

  • great now i have to find memo2memo500 comment

  • Nickelback hahaha come on really are you wetarded?

  • I love this band, amazing blues infusion , beautiful harmony and The Heavy has soul

  • @ronalddelao1

thanks for the suggestion, awesome music!!

  • WOW these cats keep "sampling" beats - first from: "let a woman be a woman" Dyke and the Blazers

"I put a spell on you" screamin Jay Hawkins

    and now.. The Rolling Stones

    "Honky Tonk Women"

but still the songs are great - i just hope they remember to give their props due.

  • @crazycutz

Everyone "samples" beats from other bands. All our art is based upon the previous art we have perceived. It's only natural that a band whom has listened to those artists and idolized them to sound like those same artists.

  • The 60s are coming back!!! Woot woot! Pass the acid bro!

  • Thankkk youuu strikeback

  • @ronalddelao1

    thank you, much appreciated.

  • okay guys hes tiote if anything

  • What a find this band has been. Send this link out to your friends, this band deserve good things! And to think it all started for me with the theme tune from Strikeback.

This guy looks about cool as you could be!

  • @RudeBhoy21 same here. Thank you strike back.

  • Added to the World United Music website. Love the video and song. Will be playing it on the Minstral Show.

  • Their were a lot of underated black rock bands over the past decades but thanks to the racism by the record industry the road block continues... Hey, wait a minute, African - Americans were the creators and pioneers of rock, it's just uptempo blues. (Aerosmith will tell u that)

  • Yay, a black guy that doesn't automatically act ganster and dance around expencive parked cars with hired hookers! I have truly lived!

  • @TheGoodDevil7 you're a moron if you think all black guys act like. Open your eyes and look around. We aren't all like what's depicted in the media.

  • @filmstu2005 I don't think all black guys act like that, I'm pretty sure I said that most black guys in music videos are rappers trying to be ganster, expensive rental cars, and hired hookers...

  • @filmstu2005 haha the majority are. Good thing I do not hang out with the majority and have met some pretty awesome black men and women in my time. To each is to own but not all people are the same.

  • wait, so black guys like rock, thats something i didnt know

  • @bentheweirdo I'm one. Rap started sucking so I just moved on. So glad I did or else I would be listening to lots of incoherent babbling about cars, bitches, and money with autotune instead of actual music :P.

  • @Gamemasta14 why didnt you switch to techno, electro house, club music or watever you wanna call it nowdays, bassically songs with awesome beats, not rap or hip hop

  • One of the most under-rated bands ever.

  • I love his red shoes! ^^

  • Stumbled onto this band today. Bloody loving it! More tunes please.

  • Thank you Pandora for adding this song to my station!

  • Excellent, pick me up on the way. NB sucks ass.

  • Indie Rock my ass, this deserves its own genre.

  • Love the music, love the video, and eye brow ring...sooo sexy.

  • Chad kreoger ... Myles kennedy ... Kelvin swaby ... the only voices worth to listen in our modern time ... IMO of course

  • @memo2memo500 If you ever mention Nickleback and Heavy in the same sentence again I will track you down through elaborate and illegal methods and end you.

  • Just stumbled across this band, really good tunes.

Rolling Stones "Honky Tonk Woman" drum sampled for anyone wondering where they'd heard it before!

  • The singer is a Djibril Cisse look alike and vice versa.

  • @Paflos If the guy looks like Cisse then you look like my neighbours goldfish.

  • @rockhudsons That is hilarious.

  • @rockhudsons What about Gallas?

  • @rockhudsons looks more like Makelele

  • Comment removed

  • Wow... noname band, awsome music, a true diamond in the rough...

  • Masterpiece!!!!!

  • Wow, I heard their Short Change Hero song in some trailer somewhere (was it Faster or Batman?) and thought it was a one-hit wonder band, but damn, I'm loving their style.

    It hits the right spot.

  • @Qaoz

LLF thats weird because i also heard the same song in the batman trailer and have listened to them non stop from it and the band is really good.. me likes

  • @Qaoz Likewise, it was the Batman Arkham city trailer, figured itd be a one hit wonder band too but damn they got an awesome unique style.

  • he looks like Djibril Cisse

  • he is very handsome...

  • Hidden message with the 666 numbers btw...having to do with the title of the song.

  • Why don't the radio "con'sultants let radio stations play bands like this on the radio anymore. You have to find some little low power college station to hear stuff like this.

  • @patrick9648 heard it on radio 2! ( how do you like me now)

  • @patrick9648 Our local corporate station plays these guys and other good stuff, thankfully. You can stream WCNR 106.1.

  • I am so glad I ran into The Heavy!

  • @Hroostertail same

  • What a great song,

Love the vocals & the sound

Its great to have good music back

Some other bands should listen to these song's

    They jsut might learn something

  • Hey,

I've been really searching for the lyrics, could please anyone tell me where to find or reply somte lines? Since I'm no native speaker it's quite difficult for me to do it by myself.

  • i just saw these guys at summerfest and they were amazing, the only non headliner band iv seen do a encore at summerfest

  • The Heavy rocks Canada....

  • Just watched the performance on Letterman and these guys are great! The lead singer has a very nice voice.

  • @euphoricelephants: which artists no longer sample?

  • Is this lifted as well? They took "sixteen" from screaming jay hawkins, and "how you like me now" from dyke and the blazers... Is that just their way of writing songs?

  • @euphoricelephants You could say this sort of thing about every single piece of music out there. If you look hard enough you'll probably come to the conclusion that everything is a rip off. I do know that The Heavy make most of their records by sampling themselves. Its probably just a coincidence. Make your own mind up...

  • @Carfer22 I was just asking... And there's a difference between inspirational similarities, and just plainly ripping off... And in my opinion the two other songs (how you like me now and sixteen) are total rip offs... It's good, don't get me wrong... I'm just of that mind, that you should write your own music... Not grab some old song, and give it some new lyrics... In my eyes, that's just lack of creativity...

  • @euphoricelephants Generally speaking, do you not think its possible to organically end up with something which appears to be a rip off? Have you listened to any of the top 100 recently.....?

Rip off's definitely happen a lot, but surely you can tell the difference as you get used to a bands style.

  • someone just posted the letterman performance on facebook... I had never heard of these guys... amazing!

  • This is the first time I have heard of The Heavy. But boy do I like them and the Kia commercial!!

  • Those are some cool shoes. Oh, and the song is awesome too!!!

  • I love the sound of these guys and Im a dyed in the wool metal head.

  • the music just stands out..... this kinda band and music deserves more than the boy band jonas brothers has....

  • @RaTionaLisT13

  • Loved The Heavy's "How You Like Me Now" From the Kia Ad. I am now a big fan of this band.... I hope to hear more of them great sounds and genre>>>> AWESOME

  • I like how it shows the Cross of Saint Lorriane. This is a special symbol of the French Resistence and US Special Forces. Awesome Group. Style cant be touched. These guys can freaking play.

  • I love the classic red nike black suit lok very nice :]

  • Where was this filmed? I haven't seen this many payphones in a long time.

  • @ohoyochata It shows the area code in one part of the video and it is 212. 212 dude is Manhatten NY. I haven't been there in YEARS, I was a kid, no tellin if they left all the pay phones around. Don't matter really because not many of them work anyway. Thats probably why he keeps going from one to another. Set me free from verizon, HA HA HA HA.

  • Notice how there is that number 666 in everyone of their videos. Kinda makes one wonder. Hmmmmm. Anyone got any ideas. I ain't sayin anthing bad bout' dees guys. I do enjoy their sound, totally chill. Just wonderin'.

  • @yomatostanyahso

    Dude??

  • 666 is a human number and is never mentioned in the bible..overly religous ones in the past push and push what should be evil onto everyone else. does it bother you, even is you listened to their music everyday, and it makes you feel good? suddenly you notice it in the vids and you wonder...let it go

  • @mohawksaresexy2 Thanks for the schooling but I kinda knew that already, aside from liking this music, I really couldn't help myself when I saw a pattern. Plus 666 is in the KJV Holy Bible, pick it up and read it. Yes it even says that the number is human as well, BUT it is how it is used is what the problem is. Oh yes as far as letting things go, not for me are your a clinical psychologist, did I drop 300 dolloars for your insight, I think not. I ONLY pointed out it out, whos problem is it?

  • You are correct it is a human number. And you are kind of correct that the number is not mentioned in the Bible. In every english version of the Bible, the number 666 does appear in the book of Revelations, in every single english Bible and does refer to a man. However, in the Hebrew the original text of the Bible the number is actually a word. Hebrew used letters as numbers. However in Hebrew it originally translated to 616, but 50 was added later for important reasons....

  • again @mohawk and yomato. At this time it escapes me why 50 was added, but the reason seemed logical when I read about it. In Hebrew the number 616 is actually significant to a letter combination that spells out Nemo. Nemo was Caesar and was known and incredibly feared by Christians because of his hate and horrible acts against us. Torture and murder being the obvious ones. He was so terrible that Christians feared his return even after he died.

  • correction. it doesnt spell out Nemo it is NERO. Apologies for the incorrect spelling.

  • Maybe that is just to show that you can find the devil anywhere, tempting and all that bad stuff

  • oh right

  • what about sharah palin

  • @spongyrider596 she wrote something on her hand during one of her speeches and at 0:16 it shows Kelvin looking at something written on his hand so I think thats what infoboxrun was referring too....

  • Wow, this is one of the best things to come out in the last 15 years. I hope The Heavy is able to keep putting em out!

  • No, he's kinda like Dr Who. He drops into different videos always looking the same, his red tennis act like a TARDIS

  • i luveee the heavy they are ah-mazing!!!1 imma huge fan!!!

  • i was the 100th to rate!!!! yesh!!!1

  • sarah palin 0:16
