@daisy26000 It works much better if you start them when they're kittens. If your cat is a matured cat, my suggestion is to only put on the harness part without the lease and leave it on for as long as he/she will bear it and let it get used to it. Good luck. I now. They're too smart. Hehe

I took my newly adopted Ragdoll cat, Mai Tai, out for her first walk today. To my surprise, she took to the leash and harness almost immediately! This breed amazes me with its trust, docility and loyalty. So many beautiful animals are sitting in the shelter, just waiting to be rescued!
This is exactly how my new kitten behaves on the harness. The only thing is, if he gets spooked he runs like crazy. Thus, i end up running around with him like a raving lunatic. Still, i'm thankful that i can take him out and get him used to his surroundings before letting him out on his own.
Thank you for sharing. I decided to give up training my cats on leashes when I decided they didn't have the personalities to be therapy cats. We don't live in an area where it's safe to go out with them. You have a lovely area for cats & humans. Looks like you're next to a lake.
You may have more success in putting only the harness (without the leash) on your cat for a day or so before attempting to put on the leash. Once you put on the leash, you need to take him out immediately before he tries to wriggle out of it.
ur video is great and coco is adorable! he was vry patient while u were putting the harness on him! hes a beautiful cat! ill try this with my maine coon tobey! he will b vry confused tho! ha! ur cat is so cute nd cute video! 5 stars! =)

Thank you for your kind words. CoCo enjoys going out for a walk but is easily disturbed by noise.
