Dr. Zakir Naik has learnt it  from others about the death penality for violators. I dont think it is mentioned in Quoran.

As far stamping him he is lair is not right.it is just lack of knowldge.

According to Quoran who divide in sects are out of Islam whether they are from any Mazhabi Jumat.

Quoran has prescribed DEEN not the man made Mazhab what all muslims are following in the whole world to day/.

Messenger: is that prophet who also received a revelation.

And allah sayed in the quran:

... LAST PROPHET...Surah azahab 33:40.

Last Prophet Mean Last Messenger, because prophet Muhammad(pbuh) was also a Messenger.
