We see Juggernaut hung like nobody’s business as it ramrod-penetrates the wall of a building marked with a red letters on white background “Keep Out Building Condemmend” sign. And penetrates with no protection! Inexcusible with a rubber tire beside the wall. The red glow on KITT’s computer image of the wall could evoke ray or laser beams, not a ramrod penetrating it. KITT’s pre-penetration image shows a single junked car door—not seen by viewers—but doesn’t show the tire, which is. Holy steed!
“Knight of the Juggernaut”—season premiere for 1985-86 fourth, final, and worst season of “Knight Rider” with new cast member Peter Parros as 'RC3', Reginald Cornelius III & Pamela Susan Shoop as Marta Simmons. After being ramroded by Juggernaut, KITT says, “We’re losing power” and a graphic shows a “Laser Charge” reading and evidence of “The Circuit”. When KITT’s monitor declares a “SYSTEM MALFUNCTION” (as if confirmation was necessary) the graphic alternates with black and white color schemes

Unrelated to peer of equivalence, Larry King’s CNN successor, Piers Morgan(b. 3/30/65), was on “America’s Got Talent” with David Hasselhoff. “Voo Doo Knight”, the series finale of “Knight Rider”, aired 4/4/86 with Peter PARros as “RC3” and Charles Jesse Davis as Jeremy Towers. Michael and KITT faced fierce adversaries in four seasons of NBC’s "Knight Rider"—most notably, David Hasselhoff as wicked trucker doppelganger, Garth Knight. That said, the man behind the controls of Juggernaut—with its hung like nobody's business ramrod—could be the least threatening appearing. In sassy red and black, Michael looks like he's ready to hit the club after work. With blue button-down shirt and boring khakis, Juggernaut's driver could be heading home to kiss the ol' wife and kids
Although I am in agreement that Ford made the show even worse with blatant product placement..it was almost as if every other episode was an hour long Ford commercial
On top of the bad story lines and plots, horrible graphics, what the hell was the orb that was supposed to be Kitt's voice/AI modulator?? Val Kilmer was too mechanical as the voice and lacked personality. They should have gotten William Daniels back. Sean Connery also would have been an excellent voice for KITT, and Paul Walker as the driver.
Nothing was wrong with the new Knight rider as far as the vehicle chosen..lets all be honest when the show first came out, there werent many modern muscle cars to choose from to be a new KITT. I am a longtime fan of this show and I HATED the direction they took the show in. Mike Traceur was corny and so was the actor who played him and the whole crew. The new KR violated everything the old show was with one man can make a difference. The Mustang wasnt the problem it was the corny ass actors
One of the many, many things the makers of the new KR series got wrong was the car. I don't see the Mustang as much of a problem as that they never gave the car ANY kind of character. The original KITT was very distinguishable piece of hardware with it's lfight yoke steering wheel, remodeled bodykit and extensive electronics dash. The new one had a Winamp visualizer plug-in in the dash, a lot of CGI hologram displays that can't be replicated (at least yet) and NOTHING else.
@KarriKoivusalo Also, and worst of them all, they made it a transformer. Now the loss of identity was complete. Build a KITT replica, what you'd pick? a GT500, F150 or the *ECONOLINE*?! F--n sporty and sexy, that one. And how would it identify as KITT? by a small scanner bar. Not even with a specific slot, but just thrown into some cosmetic scoop opening. I guess Ford REALLY wanted to showcase their products. The producers really didn't understand at all where the original success came from.
This episode says everything will take a severe beating. Remembers when even a tough crazy motherfucker like me in school who never lost a fight, I got severely bloodied up by a whole burrito of tough mexican guys in the bathroom. Nothing is indestructible.
@retrofann1 but, i dont get why the people like the crappy GT500 and hate the original. I thought everyone liked the original and hated the new one. (i hate the new one, should have been a pontiac)
@JakeDrew2 1 of the reasons a new PONTIAC wasnt chosen is that isf a new Pontiac was used,it probably would have been the PONTIAC SOLSTICE,the very same one used as the Autobot JAZZ in the Michael Bay Transformers crappy movie- Any person who grew up from 1980's wouldve thrown up how Michael Bay just used the movie to advertise just Chevey and Fords when the G1 Jazz was PORCHE-MY POINT IS,the new KNIGHT RIDER not only should remain a PONTIAC,but no-where as ugly as that SOLSTICE-

Anyone else catch that the smashed KITT was a solid roof car and not a T TOP?
NeverEvil1 6 months ago
@NeverEvil1 yep. but i think it had a reason of safety. the broken glass from the t-tops would have really hurt david hasselhoff then.
