DRM (for SW / MW / LW) and DRM+ (VHF FM) have the AF feature too, and they are all digital or hybrid.

My knowledge is from several aspects. Most from using several different RDS Encoders myself in the broadcast industry, as well as decoding other stations RDS using advanced software such as the Esslinger RDS Decoder, and modified tuners.

The most signifcant expansion of understanding came from reading the books The Broadcasters Guide To RDS by Scott Wright, and RDS: The Radio Data System by Dietmar Kopitz and Bev Marks.
