I hope to see the Joker again soon. Casey would make a great Riddler, I agree with you on that one. I know Nolan said he wasn't going to replace Heath as the Joker (God rest his soul) but the Joker is Batman's arch enemy! He has to come back. Jim Carrey would be a perfect fit for the role.

As I'm really sick of hearing about Johnny Depp as the Riddler, it was nice to see someone out of the ordinary cast here. Affleck would be an interesting Riddler. This trailer seemed too much like the trailer for Gone Baby Gone though, and it very little to do with Batman as a character. However, nice casting choice.

@95luis95 No, they're not even totally finished with the script yet. Since the film comes out in July 2012, I imagine it will be in mid to late summer before we get anything close to a trailer. It may be even later since it's going to be one of the most anticipated films of the decade.

Not bad, But I personally like to see Michael C. Hall or David Tennant play Riddler it will be awesome. I saw Michael C. Hall in (Gamer the movie) it was similar to the Riddler. David Tennant said " He wish to portray the Riddler".

Look it looks like a real trailer but most of the Batman and Jim Gordon footage is from Batman begins and the Dark Knight. And where was the Riddler in that? Still pretty believeable though.

Casay Affleck as the riddler would not be bad, but hands down it has to be Johhny Depp, he could act more wierder than Casey..No Pinguin, or Dr. Freeze, it would ruined the franchize...like they ruined the old Batmans

The Riddler isn't as insane as people are making him out to be. While the Jim Carey portrayal was fantastic, the Riddler in the comics is much more devious and sinister. He is scarily smart and is fiendish, he cannot be trusted. While Depp would've been a great Riddler in Batman Forever, he won't be able to pull off a "dark Riddler." If you wanna check it out pick up the graphic novel titled "Joker" which released last year.

Someone like casey affleck would be a better riddler, imo. I feel like they should use someone that can be mostly remembered for the role. Using Depp would be a mistake because he's already remembered mainly for playing capt sparrow, wonka, and soon...mad hatter. Cast someone that has not been used so much. It's better that way.

In the newer comics, he's a private investigator. Considering how the past two films have been more realistic, I find this easier to believe than a crimanal who leaves behind clues.

In the third film, I think the Riddler should be a private detective hired by the MCU to track down Batman and find out everything about him. Then eventually he becomes so obssesed with finding this out he stops at nothing to find out, and kills plenty of people in some very starnge ways. He also leaves a riddle on the wall (written in blood), at the scene of each of his crimes.

Casey Afleck as the Riddler is a interesting choice. Nice vid. Personally I think having the Riddler being played by William Fitchner from "Prison Break" who played the bank manager in TDK would be the best choice. See, the Joker spared his life and said "whatever doesn't kill you simply makes you stranger!". Plus he was already working for the mafia. So since the Joker shot him in the legs could be a reason for the question mark cane. And the guy is a hell of a good actor.

Excellent, 4 1/2 stars.

Here's waht would REALLY help: Take out the Micheal Caine scene from Prestige, and replace it with a scene from either Batman begins or dkt. As well as alot of other scenes where you can tell Bale is wearing clothes that arent from this time period. "Do you want the truth?" "NO" part was the best part of the trailer by the way.

i think he'd be better as ragdoll or a news reporter victim. he doesn't fit the dark vilains of batman well, even realistic ones. u need a brilliant cruel individual or powerful crafty gifted person, he's more of the comicbook guy like cluemaster smart but not diablical, nor creepy smart just wierd smart. if he was more like edward norton maybe
