Social unrest right after the dollar bubble bursts, once that happen we will be in limbo for a few weeks and that time is critical, that's when we have to decide as a country if we want more government to solve the problems of America or will we go back to our brilliant Constitutional principles. That moment in our history will dictate the following century's faith.
We must regain our Liberty, that is what has always been the essence of America, that was the great experiment, Liberty.
Well, we need baby steps towards the Anarchy you dream about which is in a way is the most peaceful way to live but it's a political concept that does not fit in a human society, we are like children who need law. With law to restrain the people and the government we realized a Constitutional Republic which sponsored Liberty was the way to take the first steps towards a real civilization.
If we had remained loyal to our American principles we would probably have a Resource Based Economy today.
You disagree because you dont' get it yet. I've been to Venus, FL; did two tours at the Venus Project... great stuff. One thing we did talk about with Mr. Jacque Fresco was about the relationship between Constitutional Liberty and the unreachable Resource Based Economy and I have to say I agree with him. First we need Liberty and Government by The People and for The People, once we achieve this goal and have minimized government we can look forward to a Resource Based Economy.. .step by step ;)
To think we can willy nilly jump from this extremely corrupted government to a Resource Based Economy is just a fantasy. Yes we have the technology to achieve it but we don't have the population educated on these new resources, or the power of Liberty for that matter.
The Constitutional system as a good start.... with hard work and education will achieve this Resource Based Economy... in the year 2150 probably,.. but first people need to stop being so dependent on government.

That's IT. Simple economics. People in the real world get this. Jesus, even kids get this! Jimmy doesn't want to trade all his marbles or else he won't have any left!
The thing is, people have been TRICKED into thinking that spending will lead you to prosperity when time and time again you clearly see that it doesn't.
It is truly shameful that the government controlled media swayed the voters away from Ron Paul being the Republican nominee. Instead of getting us out of this mess, we are going to continue going down the road of trying to spend our way into prosperity. Hate to tell everyone, it doesn't work that way and the more the new administration spends, the more they will want control over your lives.
One thing I've learned being in between jobs and struggling to pay bills, "you can't borrow your way out of debt", that's economic suicide. All these banks and mortgage companies know they can make the same mistake later on, selling homes to irresponsible people, because they know the gov't will bail them out again.
Years from now Ron Paul will address congress as he always does, but this time it will be his shortest speech ever. "Ladies and Gentlemen and Members of Congress. I told you so."
A blind person may or may not be bored, depending on the level of intellect and the general interest in life. In my experience, only boring people become bored.
So, only a person that bores others becomes bored? A boring person can only be a boring person if he bores others, so if he bores others, those he makes bored are boring people themselves? What if those that are made bored by the original boring person don't make others bored, yet are bored themselves with the original boring person. Are they boring because they are bored?
The irrefutable conclusion of impartial observation regarding the question of boredom can only be that people who have an enthusiasm and abiding interest in life rarely, if ever, get bored. On the other hand, air-heads are constantly bored. To conclude: I cant remember the last time I was bored—how about you? QED!
Reflection is a perfect example of an abiding interest in life, and therefore I would suggest that reflection is not only 'all-right' but essential. Boredom, on the other hand, is a perfect example of a disinterest in life. How did you make the leap: boredom = reflection?
I suppose it was more like boredom => reflection. Obviously, you only need yourself to reflect, and when you're bored you're more or less mentally alone, so boredom is basically an invitation for reflection. On the contrary, when I'm actively doing something there often isn't much time available for me to reflect while doing it. I can't multitask very well.
I agree that when one is swamped with constant activity there is hardly time for anything—boredom or reflection. Such is the life of most people today—there is hardly time to reflect deeply, and this is why we end up with government as we know it.
For the mind that is generally engaged and interested in life, a lapse into boredom can kick-start the reflective process. As soon as the reflective process begins (which will of course include self-observation/self-enquiry and investigation into why boredom arose in the first place), then of course boredom will evaporate like mist in a summers sun.
Finally, I would question your assumption that boredom is the result of being mentally alone. We are hardly ever alone, mentally or otherwise. Society invades every nook and cranny in the thought and emotional processes of the human being. Boredom is more the result of our constant demand for exictment and it not being fulfilled.
Arthurd123, Ron Paul pushes the idea that the free market tacitly includes individual responsibility for one's own assets and to take responsibility for inherent risk. The Free Market is theoretically supposed to preclude bad debt and asset bubbles by making the propping of bad debt unprofitable. Enforcing ethics does nothing, but letting selfishness run markets freely ensures capital's best usage.
Ron Paul is the only principled voice in Congress. Hardly anyone in America is listening to the obvious, hoping against hope that Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy is going to save the day". The obvious outcome of constantly expanding the role of government in our lives will be that things will get increasingly worse. Unless we have REAL change, and soon, the predictable outcome will be a full on dictatorship (Peikoff: Ominous Parallels). But it couldnt happen here, right? IT IS HAPPENING HERE!
Why the HELL don't we have more guys like this in Congress? Why must me constantly put up with idiots that don't understand simple economic concepts? Why aren't we revolting? Why aren't we storming the Federal Reserve buildings and demanding our freedoms back? We can only do this if we ignore the fallacy of partisan ideology and work together to throw this monkey we call government off our back. Anarchy would be preferable to controlled destruction of this country by simpletons.
I refuse to recognize Barack Hussein Obama as President of the United States of America because he is not a natural born citizen and therefore ineligible according to the U.S. Constitution. This is just all about the tax payer saving the bankers who practice extreme usury against the people and then when the bankers go to far the people get used by the government to make sure the bankers who dont do anything but practice usury get bailed out from any major blow backs
Paul is great at describing the problem, but not so good at solutions. The main solution should be to cut government spending drastically. End the war in Iraq while keeping minimum forces there. Don't start up in Afghanistan either. Obama will do exactly the opposite and create a much worse problem than we have now. Just waiting for the "chip" solution be introduced. Get ready folks, things are gonna get real bad.
Drastically cutting spending and ending the Iraq war IS the solution Ron Paul posited throughout his entire presidential campaign and since then for ending our financial woes.
I really doubt that anyone in government takes his ideas seriously. They are too different from what they have accustomed to believe. And changing people's beliefs is extremely difficult.
We are talking about ideologies here. It's beyond reason. No logical argument is going to change their minds.
@librano Americans are watching TV which is run by FED gang of thieves, therefore it is not surprising that Americans don't vote for this great man who got a courage to come up and expose FED
I don't know if Ron is going to run in 2012. He's getting older you know. But I will bust my ass him if he does, or for whoever runs in his stead if he doesn't. This IS my president!
I always go to financialtruth0.blogspot . com because they post there the latest videos of RON PAUL, JIM ROGERS, and PETER SCHIFF. Thanks for uploading anyway!
I am mad has hell and im not gona take it anymore!! A true gentlemen, I dont know how Ron does it.If i was there I would be "you motherfuckers diden't listen now look in what mess we are." then i will have pulled my dual elites and start blasting and yelling Revolution!! Ahh sweet dreams.
5 Star Favorite! Dr. Paul is our last hope. If most people would just give him a chance, and listen to his logic and wisdom, we could have America back in an instant. America is first a state of mind, and we can have it once again as long as we are not afraid to stand up for what we believe in like Ron Paul.
Memo to self-proclaimed "conservative" Republicans who (supposedly) want "less" government - For any of you who did NOT vote for RON PAUL during the primaries - when it COUNTED:
You CHOSE not to listen.
Don't PRETEND that the "current" crisis comes as a surprise, or that you weren't warned (by many) of the inevitable consequences DECADES ago in the 80's - when the "fiscally conservative" (lol) president made RUNAWAY DEBT the national RELIGION.
Barney Frank really is a son-a-bitch. Keep ignoring the only man who has a clue, shill. I could care less what letter Barney has in front of his name, he just needs to be replaced.
It's pretty obvious by now that, us Americans, are footing the bailout bill(s) for the elitists own gain. Enough is enough! Get involved with your local government and community! It's not too late to restore the Republic.
They should have just given the bailout money to FEMA. They have experience with dealing with people who have lost their homes and not getting any Federal government assistance.
sad he repeats these wonderful points and noone pays attention. Its all paid off people in the end, and Ron Paul fighting the good fight go's unheard,I find this horrible.
What would America be like if we had these kinds of leader's. Thank you Dr Paul and I dont know how he fought them these 30 yrs I think I would of given up
time for americans to stop being the politicians bitches and take back what is ours fuck the fed fuck the irs fuck the cia fuck the income tax fuck the patriot act fuck giving isreal foreign aid so they can attack gaza in a modern day genocide im mad as hell and i have a feeling im not the only one
God bless Ron Paul! Truth teller extraordinaire! Those boobs in Congress are too clueless to even understand what Mr. Paul is talking about. What a disgrace.
Abolish the entire Federal Government - and liberate America. Washington, DC should not manipulate us, flood us with worthless Federal paper, starting foreign wars and in general making life hell in America. Washington, DC is an abomination.
Who is this congressman that dares speak "the truth?" It's not Obama...it was never McCain..and it sure as hell isn't Barney Frank , Pelosi, or Reid.
It's RP of course...probably the only honest guy in congress. I'm sure the power at be are digging for any kind of bad info on this guy that they can...but i don't think they'll find any...or maybe they don't want to make a spectacle? Afterall...most everyone in the media ignores him.
The only thing that Congress seems to be capable of legislating these days is another congressional pay raise. They're even too dumb to realize there won't even be money to pay for it. Long live Ron Paul!!!
Ron Paul makes perfect sense to me. I just don't know how he doesn't go absolutely mad repeating these same old truths all the time, and keep getting the same deer in the headlights look from most of congress and the MSM media. Very frustrating.
Don't be so logical, Dr. Paul! Most Congressmen don't understand that kind of talk.
Can't you see that the only solution to this problem is to apply the very same loose credit, loose monetary, bubble-inflating policies that created this mess to begin with? /sarc
Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress. But I repeat myself.
Read 'The Revolution A Manifesto' by Ron Paul ASAP!
It was #1 NYT!
It was #1 Amazon
It's now the most beloved book of 2008!!!
Spread these books everywhere ASAP!
What Ron Paul has to say about the tactic of terrorism (used by MANY people because there are many kinds of terror) needs to be heard in these desperate times!

Don't start up in Afghanistan either. Obama will do exactly the opposite and create a much worse problem than we have now. Just waiting for the "chip" solution be introduced. Get ready folks, things are gonna get real bad.
Zile77 3 years ago 4
Drastically cutting spending and ending the Iraq war IS the solution Ron Paul posited throughout his entire presidential campaign and since then for ending our financial woes.

Ron Paul is for eliminating most depts of gov't and drastically cutting gov't spending. I'm not sure how you could have missed that.
schellaa 3 years ago
I really doubt that anyone in government takes his ideas seriously. They are too different from what they have accustomed to believe. And changing people's beliefs is extremely difficult.
We are talking about ideologies here. It's beyond reason. No logical argument is going to change their minds.

You "lost your way" a LONG time ago.

Long live Ron Paul!!!
galetski 3 years ago 6
Ron Paul makes perfect sense to me. I just don't know how he doesn't go absolutely mad repeating these same old truths all the time, and keep getting the same deer in the headlights look from most of congress and the MSM media. Very frustrating.
popination 3 years ago 8
Yeah, I admire RP's patience. If I were him, I would have gone mad telling the truth and being ignored so many times.
sai18kit 3 years ago 2
Don't be so logical, Dr. Paul! Most Congressmen don't understand that kind of talk.
Can't you see that the only solution to this problem is to apply the very same loose credit, loose monetary, bubble-inflating policies that created this mess to begin with? /sarc
