do you double p all the center sticks?

@KineticMaster Good question, KM. I can't remember what I did in this world-record attempt because I vary on doubling sticks. With the ortho, I usually either double up the center and cross sticks, or I double up all four sticks in each cell. It's all a toss-up between economy of sticks vs. power of explosion. BTW, I've tried triple weaving, but it's very, very, very hard to do and very prone to accidental detonations--and safety goggles are absolutely necessary with them...

Respond to this video... Also, it's almost impossible to double up on the cobra weave--you'll get a lot of broken sticks if you try--and I wouldn't even attempt to try it with popsicle sticks. The cobra weave is powerful enough that the sticks fly far with just a single weave. I think it's because it's a 'quaternary' weave--that is, each stick touches four other sticks--and the compound 'S' bend seems to store up more elastic energy...

@lunatim ahh thanks cuz i double up the center sticks for the ortho too or it always stops. i tried doubling the cobra weave but i can only seam to double up the one that goes in the opposite direction. But for sum reason my cobra weave doesnt explode really high like i see in yous and others videos. does it have to be activated in a certain direction or something?

@KineticMaster I've seen others trying to do the cobra weave, but I think they're doing it wrong as it seems to have too many sticks. It's just alternating one stick from each side and each stick crosses four other sticks--it should be narrower than a regular ortho weave...

@speedstackstaiwan The trick is to double up some of the sticks. Stack one stick on another and weave them as if they were one stick. If you do this, definitely wear safety goggles as it makes the sticks jump higher....

@jrmaddu1 The easiest way is to double up on the sticks--just stack two sticks instead of one when you weave them. You don't have to double all of them, just the center and cross sticks is usually fine. Also, when you're using higher-powered weaves, it's really important to wear safety goggles as the sticks have a lot more energy to them...
