I commented on another vid of yours, and then saw this. Nice, nice. Neil Young has an album "Silver and Gold" that has some beautiful, slower acoustic guitar songs ("Razor Love" and "Without Rings") that you would sound great singing. Just a thought. Nice, nice work.

Hi Billy, nice cover, what is the time signature of this song? Even when I know the picking pattern is BDEBDE, I still have a hard time 'getting it to click', if you know what I mean. I have a hard time establishing a 'beat' if I don't play the bass note first, coming up from the B first seems weird. Do you have any video lessons or are there any things you'd recommend in the way of getting this? Thanks, good to see that some people have grasped it and worked out the proper way to play the song.

@gilliangirl1 these are the strings for most of the picking BDEBDE (the four high strings). the G chord i play on the low E string in place of the "D" string and when i do the chorus i also use the bass note (A string) when playing the B# minor chord and A major chord. i know this must sound terribly confusing. but i hope it helps nonetheless. just trust your ears! :)

This is hands down the best cover of this song out here on YT. It is not only the best but also the most emotional and your your singing is simply beautiful. You showed such subtle beauties of this melody that I have not heard when sung by anyone else -- including Ryan Bingham himself. Amazing talent, thank you for sharing it with us humble wannabes. What nosleep fails to see and hear ... is the genuine emotion you have put into this tune. Which in my book, is 95% of any song. Plus, the simply crystal clear vocals and perfect tones from your Guild guitar (D25NT??). Your finger pick technique is right on and pristine!

thank you for the kind words mr. jones! the guitar is a Guild DV-4. It has amazing tone for it's price range and i would recommend it to anyone looking for an acoustic guitar under $1000. I bought this one used on eBay for about $600!
