  • Bolt actions are my favorite type of guns. Lever actions are also damn cool.

  • in the beginning it sounded like he said "FIYAR"

  • call of duty 2

  • i love you K98 Mauser

  • i love this sound

  • btw: K98k stands for karbenier98kurtz, K98 is just a shorter way of saying it especcially if your not german.

  • @98vanguard Its more like Karabiner 98 Kurz :)

  • @98vanguard Karabiner 1898 Kurz

  • @98vanguard nope, the K98 is older and longer, saying "K98" is inaccurate no matter what nationality you are.

  • Also as a side note, I am quite deadly with this rifle in COD, as well as the Springfield and Enfield. Bolt rifles are the epitome of one shot one kill!

  • That's the spirit that beat the Japanese! Haha good shooting bud!

  • @eldervalade lol wtf

  • I love that rifle!

    Made in germany;)

  • @Waffenfreak6000. Me too.

  • @toskoforce you're an insult to humanity

Also @ anyone is the steel plate on the butt for CQB or to reduce wear

  • @toskoforce I suppose playing call of duty makes you an expert in firearms? Get a life.

  • @TaZ101SAGA Was not saying that at all man. I hunt and shoot year around with a wide variety of firearms. I am well versed in this business so why don't you get your facts straight before your make a fool of yourself with such comments.

  • @eldervalade That comment was not even addressed to you, so why are you replying?

  • @TaZ101SAGA Well sorry then man, guess I am the fool! Apologies. Thought it was directed at me as I was the first (I thought) to mention using this gun in COD. My mistake.

  • @eldervalade Yes Sir, have a nice day now :-)

  • I love this gun. Its even better in .308 :3

  • Nice

  • my brother led me outside one day with a mauser k98 rifle. i said, "your not going to shoot that right?" "no." BOOM! scared the crap outta me

  • @TheFlamez123 why would he lead you outside with a rifle if he wasent going to shoot it?

  • @hummerskickass idk hes weird

  • K98 one of the best rifles ever.

  • A very cuddly rifle :)

  • that bolt looks soo smooth

  • @MrREDNECK4X4 ya dude I got an authentic one from the Russian front(it wasn't very cheap xD ) and it has the smoothest action I've ever experienced. Way better than most modern rifles can boast, and No matter how many times I shoot it, so long as i keep it properly oiled i've never had it jam or anything :) Mauser actions pwns any other bolt action on the market

  • lol toskoforce spelt call of duty cow of duty and also yes the gun sucks in cod but is one of the most accurate guns that ive ever shot in real life

  • very nice shooting. that rifle seems to have a really smooth action.

  • @toskoforce This is real life, not a video game.

  • I tried a couple of guns, but this one was my favourite!

  • How DARE you assume that the greatest buolt action rifle in history is crappy because of a VIDEO GAME! Go shoot some real guns and have fun instead of sitting on your ass and bragging about how this gun suck in CoD and so and so. What if you were a British soldier getting shot up with one of these? Where's your video game knoledge now?

  • @bandman232 Please don't feed the troll

  • @toskoforce shit you used it on Call of Duty... you master gunsmith must know everything about weapons!

  • @toskoforce dumbass obviously not if its been in service since 1898..mauser makes soe of the best guns most german weapons are very good quality the kar 98 is still safe to fire today and its over 100 years old depending whent he gun was made

  • @airsoftrules987 Looks like a K version, so it was probably made in 39

  • @toskoforce I too used it for years in call of duty. We can agree that it was a great rifle in world war 2 and 1

  • beautiful!!!!

  • excellent

  • The bolt action of a K98, is flawless.

  • theres no way thats a real one, the bolt is like flawless

  • What a traitor

  • my grandpa has a 1919 Mauser 98 he used it in ww2 when he was in the german army and he continued to use it when he joined the Russian army and it was made in 1919 and if you want to have a fight and say that it couldent have been made in 1919 we have had it identified dated and i have photo proof (just saying that because some smart ass kid said they werent made in 1919) but yes we do have papers for it and what not it is a very nice rifle i do haft to say my grandpa is passing it on to me

  • @andrewceg id like to have a fight and say it wasn't made in 1919. These rifles were designed in 1898 - so of course there are some from 1919 around. >.>

  • @Str4ng3F0lk yeah thats what most people say the design was 1898 but they continued to make them well through ww1

  • @andrewceg They are still made today actually in several variations. Our American 1903 Springfield and Winchester Model 70 are merely modernized, refined 98 Mausers.

  • @andrewceg

They stopped making the G98 in 1919 :P Nah, youre probably right. Why didnt your grandpa join the russian army?

  • @MyDoominateR my grandpa did join the russian army he was in the german army 1st then he got captured and he spoke in russian to the commisar and the commisar said you can speek russian and my grandpa said yes then he asked him what rank he was (my grandpa was a sargent) so then he become a sargent in the russian army and he satyed in the russian army well in to his 50's and left (he was 23 when he was in the german army and 24 when he was captured buy the russians

  • @andrewceg Not trying to be a dick but that story sounds made up to me. The Germans would have issued him a new manufacture rifle, not one 30+ years old. And the Russians wouldn't have let him use it in their service. They would have issued him an SKS or AK depending on when he went in, which sounds bogus anyway because they treated the Germans like rats for YEARS after the war.

  • my summer love xD

  • Glad to see you kept the blueing on the bolt. Tons of people take it off. I dont like that.

  • That was a total waste of bullets and lack of proper shooting ediecut. You have a very accurate gun there. Take time to appreciate it learn to shoot it correctly.

  • @CKGuns its only a waste of money if it doesnt protect your life and isnt fun.he had fun so it wasnt a waste of money.

  • are you accurate with that fire rate? it was pritty fast

  • Where do y'all live? Nice piece of property...

  • nice video, i love that gun

  • heil mauser die you retard hitler

  • this gun was one of the best rifles in the war, then the americans started using the garand

  • 8X57js?

  • how'd you get the action to be smooth?

  • @laughsxgiggles should be that smoothe if you buy a good one, and clean out any cosmoline* thats in there.

  • @mw2gamer86

no hitlers imbecility was the reason...

  • @fjg42556 his name is mw2gamer...he obviously has no clue what hes talking about lol

  • @mw2gamer86 YOU PPL ARE DUMBASS'S mw2 is bs stop playing games and get a job start researching weapons pfft just becouse you play cod dosent mean you know guns

  • I want one.

  • In norway there is thousands of these, and many for sale. They were abandoned by german forces after ww2, and Norwegians adopted these to the Home Militia. They are re-built to 7.62x63mm (30-06), and cost aroun 150-200$.

  • mausers have killed millions of russians.

  • @labartic No, people using Mauser's have killed millions of Russians.

  • The only think I like about the Enfield over the K98 is the 10 round removable mag. Other than that, the K98 is a superior weapon. That's one reason most modern tack driving hunting rifles are built on Mauser, cock on open, actions instead of the Enfield cock on close style action. COO is much easier to operate in a quick manor than is the COC action.

  • the germans copied the norweigan Krag Jørgensen rifle in the making of the first kar98. The second kar 98k(stands for kurtz means short in German)was the exact same rifle just shortened down.

  • @bigtop432 The Krag Jørgensen rifle is by far the most produced Norwegian rifle design. The rifle was designed by the Norwegians Ole Hermann Johannes Krag and Erik Jørgensen during the late 19th century. It was used by Norwegian soldiers in the campaign against the Germans in 1940, and during the occupation, it was used by the Hird (armed militia of the Norwegian national socialist party Nasjonal Samling) and the German occupation force at coastal artillery intstallations ans so on.

  • I like the K98 but the old british 303's are still the best battle rifle from that era...hard to beat the 10 round mag and rear locking action.

  • Ide love to have one of these old ww2 rifles

But even a working mauser is illegal in Canada

Must be nice to live in a free country

  • @fuggsakes You have to be shitting me? Illegal? WTF? Not likely. There are legal. So are lots of other firearms. Stop making Canadians look like retards and think before you speak. Cannot have rifles in Canada? What a crock.

  • Just got a beautiful K98 for 400....I feel like a kid again...cant wait to shoot this beast

  • i want one so bad how much did you get yours for?

  • @MrNubnation Look for 400 to 800 USD

  • @Thebestever441 thanks man

  • The proper way to cycle a bolt action during sustained fire is to KEEP THE RIFLE ON YOUR SHOULDER, so that you can maintain your sight picture. Keep looking down the sights, hold the rifle with your left hand, cycle the bolt with your right hand, line up on target and fire.

  • @SeriesOfTubes101 i dont think he cars he didnt even read this

  • I want one of these with about 400 bullets sooooo bad D:

  • if everyone will shoot like him the companie who makes those bullets will be rich!

  • looks like a lot of recoil to me.

  • Book that will save America:

    americanvisioncom

    christian lifecharacter

    aspx

  • be polite... be efitiant...have a plan to kill everyone you meet lol sry thats the only thing i thought during the entire time

  • @MegaUltraMario WTF does "efitiant" mean??

  • @MegaUltraMario So did I! Sniper is teh best!

  • @maxie355a TF2 FTW :D

  • AntoniusMUC Das ist ein Erbstück meines Opas.

  • i love how fast this guy fires it lol

  • I love the K98 Mauser. It's one of those guns that tells you, "Hey, I maybe over 60 years old but I can still beat the shit outta you!"

  • @Stradivarius12506 hell yeah.

  • Comment removed

  • @krazyliljoo94 but the K98K was from the year 1938 i believe. I've got a original K98K barrel!

  • @Stradivarius12506

K98's were invented in 1898 so its 112 years old ;D

  • Das Mauser k98 das Schmuckstück habe ich original (scharf) in meiner Vitrine stehen mit einer Patrone im lauf *freu*

  • @Sonderschueler1

dann gibs mir doch...für meine Vitrine :)

  • no way would i ever get one of these... yeah they are cool but look up the ballistics on the 8mm it has terrible drop at about 150 yards. hell an ak-47 or sks could be more accurate than one of these

  • @cordertl How dare a wimp like you think he knows anything about guns! I can shoot ur fucking eyeball out at 150 yards dumb boy ! Btw i own both, a Mauser from my great grand father and my fathers GDR AK 47 and wtf do some research. Well if u hold an AK tight u notice most of the deviation actually results from the recoil but wtf, how dumb are u it really makes me laugh ha-ha

  • @Pumpernickel006900 sorry i just dont like it and saying a sks or ak47 can out shoot it is probably not true i was just trying to make a point that the 8mm is not a very flat shooter. i would much rather have a 22-250, 243, 223. smaller calibers shoot flatter. didnt mean to insult you man im sure you are very good with your rifle

  • @cordertl Im not that much into ballistics.. but i looked it up and u seem quite right about hte drop.. but i can tell u in real life over half a mile u dont have to adjust your aim much, u will ALWAYS hit the target unless ur a child or spastic :D. Subjectively, i would say its possible to hit targets at a distance of up to 1500 yards without wasting to much ammo.Maybe ill approach it anytime but i only got 2 8x5 boxes left and ill never get new ones :((( Ammandements required :((

  • @cordertl oh, and btw, type in k98 at 900 yards and tell me u can do that with an Ak ;) Sorry for all those insults but ppl like u make me laugh- real hard !

I can shoot mine only iron sight but ill make a video for u, ur stupidness inspird me, and i will approach 1000 yards!

  • @ ww2guy1945 some people dont feel like aiming and most people dont wanna see a guy aiming for an hour

  • thats a nice gun

  • why do you write k98 mauser? it's called "Mauser Karabiner 98 kurz". you won't write M4a1 Colt too. but nice vid.

  • @norwegenlover

It can be called the K98 as well, Mauser is the manufacturer.

  • @jollojol "Mauser" isn't the manufacturer. It refers to Paul Mauser, the rifle's designer. The 98k model was made by several different armories in Germany as well as Czechoslovakia during German occupation in WWII. The Mauser action is the basis for many rifles ranging from Brazil to Yugoslavia. Its design can be seen used in many of today's modern bolt-action rifles as well. Anytime the word "Mauser" is in the name, it's simply a reference to the type of action it uses, not who built it.

  • @SpringfieldGarand

I don't exctly know how it is for the K98 but i'm sure that Mauser is an arms manufacturer, it suggests that the K98 was manufactured by them (Paul Mauser is one of the founders)

  • @jollojol You're right there. Paul and his brother Wilhelm did start several armories that produced weapons. They just weren't the sole producer of the 98k rifles. I guess I misunderstood your first comment. 98k's with various arsenal codes ("S42", "S243" and "ax" for example) were made at Mauser-owned plants. So yes, Mauser is the name of the rifle's action as well as various arsenals. :)

  • @SpringfieldGarand

Yes obviously during the wartime they weren't the sole producers of that rifle, i meant manufacturer as in "who invented" that rifle, it's a bolt-action rifle anyway, Mauser isn't really it's type of action, if i remember correctly Mauser had made already a long series of military rifles for the German army before (and after) the K98 but it's not really a "class" of rifles, for example you can't call the Mosin-Nagant a Mauser type...

  • @jollojol Yeah, the name of that specific action is the "Mauser 98 Action". It definitely wasn't the first or last rifle Mauser developed.

  • wow, fast & smoothly reloading

  • I'll second that Mitchell's Mausers are well known as refinishing, restamping, renumbering, etc. their rifles to make them appear as if they are something special.

You're best to buy from a more reputable source if you want something with value.

To get a K98K cheap, get a Russian capture and refurb. They're often pretty abused, but they're the real thing.

Another option is a Yugo M48. Similar to a K98K, but much less expensive.

  • where i can buy an ORIGINAL one in good form and how much it costs??

  • @lamarbrog how much would a russian capture k98 go for? because I always wanted to get a mauser, specifically a german one, because they are the original mausers. and the fact that it was used in the eastern front of ww2 and taken from a german soldier just makes it that much more sentimental.

  • Your speed would be better off if you kept the rifle at your shoulder as you worked the bolt. Or you could maintain the same rate of fire but with faster action of the bolt you'll have more time to aim.

  • 8x57 Is

  • 7.92x57

  • Das Original Kaliber eines Wehrmachts Karabiner K98 lautet 8 x 57 IS.

  • dammit i want one of these so bad T_T

  • @tr00headbanger Why?

  • @tr00headbanger

    you can get them still,

Well a austrian clone or something like that, $400-500 look around in the paper, and a all authentic ww2 k98 prl $700-1200, Correct me if im wrong

  • you can get russian captured mismatched k98s for $250-$350. Bolt mismatch guns usually go anywhere from $400-600. All matching guns usually go for $600-$2000 depending on rarity of the codes. These prices are what I've seen at gunshows in the past couple months

  • u can buy one from mitchells mausers. i got mine for 250$ with 80 rounds of ammo.

  • @BINOMAN007 mitchells mausers are notorious for being faked... maybe the service grade are original, but the people that work there told me that they are in poor, but shootable condition.

  • Yeap, they come out of there looking like parade rifles withthe shiny stock and bolt handle. RC's FTW

  • yea amazing sound :P

  • Tell him to slow the hell down and actually aim...

  • you tell him to slow down i have one of these rifles and when the hit some thing it its it with some force

  • @ww2guy1945 ever heard of rapid fire drills?

  • @ww2guy1945 Yeah I reckon, but it appears he's a good shot even by him shooting that quick. If you look closely at the target, you can see faint sparks coming of the target.

  • @ww2guy1945 its his rifle he can do what eva the fuck he wants do do with it

  • @ww2guy1945 shout up ballcheese

  • whats better, sight hood or no sight hood? 'cause i got and early one with no sight hood

  • Echte deutsche Wertarbeit. Geilster Karabiner wo gibt.

  • @vanderslampen ist das nicht wahr Bruder

  • @vanderslampen lol i agree, took me awhile tho, gotta love Google Translate ;)

  • @vanderslampen yea wat he said! :D

  • Ha, you got that Saving Private Ryan streaky brightness going on. with the camera.

  • What's the recoil like on one of these compared to, say, a 12 gauge? I'm thinking about getting one of these.

  • It's pretty comparable to a 12 gauge. Not bad at all.

  • I like to shoot rifles but tell me, why do u keep on shooting bullet after bullet with no break, do u even get any accuracy like that, or u r just showing off the rifle?

  • Id say a 12 gauge shooting a pretty light load... But its all perception I guess. Shooting slugs is definatly worse.

  • @CrystalHunter1989 its like a 12 gauge slug or heavy shot but the recoil pushes back much faster then a shotgun

  • @CrystalHunter1989 i have a yugo24/47 mauser and a remington 870...they both feel the same...its just that the 8mm after words makes your arm feel weirder...lol.not that big a diffrence though...

  • that WILL hurt.

  • hurt what? your shoulder?

  • no...the person that unfortunately is touched by that bullet.

  • I dont think touch is the word:)

  • just shows how much fire could be put down with a good bolt action rifle..the mauser set the standard for almost every bolt action rifle today..

  • I inherited a Mauser 98 from my grandfather recently. Thanks for the clip. I expect it must be something like this.

  • I mean hell by the end of the war if you count out all civilian casualties and with the U.S. only being in the last 2 years of the war and countries like Britain and Canada, New Zealand fighting through the entire war on the all the same fronts but yet the U.S. suffered way more casualties then Canada and British Commenwealth combined

and witht he U.S. facing mostly enemies like the Ost Battalions and the Wehrmachts Service Rifle being the K98 just pick up the pieces

  • wow, and you are majoring in history? If I were you I would ask for my money back.

I don't mean to insult you, but what you said showed a great lack of knowledge about ww2 as far as casualites are involed.

If you look at the actual numbers, the British lost just over 500,000 troops. The U.S. lost about 418,000 I believe. And the canadiens, lets be real, they didn't see nearly as much fighting as either the brits, americans, and most certainly the Russians.

  • you are a complete idiot and very ingnorate the Candians actually fought every single battle as the British and Americans and every great Operation

you seem to of never picked up a book before and Canada has also seen way more action them the U.S. on the Pacific front and fought from 1937

you have proved just now what lack of knowledge you have and so I question on what you know in more specific matters such as this

  • if you are seriously going to make that argument I am done with you right now, I have no desire to debate with people living in fantasy land. The canadiens were not nearly as much involved on a per capita basis (sure they were in a lot of campaigns) but numerically it was small, hell your country has a small population. I know your canadien and your proud of you country and all but lets not make shit up.

  • So I think this was blown out of proportion especially insulting Canadian Veterans that have fought proudly side by side there best friends the U.S. and Britain but because of the significance size you look down upon us and deemed unworthy

and I'm not making this up why don't you get out of the U.S. and go to Germany, Denmark, Poland, Holland, Britain, France

the fact is Canada did fight even with it's numbers

more Operations, Battlies, Fire Fights then the U.S.

like I said Patriotism runis it

  • alexn. you bad mouth when ever you cant prove your point , and wht your point is i dont know . you just read razor tell you what i been saying that the m1 JAMS now you say they all jam , try that bs in combat , you lack experience all you have is BS like your buddie lone wolf haha

  • merbenz, do you have tourettes of something? Are you mentally handicapped or just socially?

    shut the fuck up....broken record

  • also I would like to point out that the K98 was the standard issue rifle for the german military during ww2 so its safe to say that nearly all german units were armed with them.

the truth is, the most deadly german small arm of ww2 was their Mg42 machine gun.

  • The MG-42 was not the service wepond and such enemies as the Ost Battalions never had the training to operate something as the MG-42 to it's fullest extent infact the Ost battalion had little or no training at all and yet they never suffered as much casualties as the U.S.

    (Infantry Only)

and let's face it when you look at a countries like Britain and Canada and see that the enemies we have faced such as the SS you have to take a note of that

  • um would you bet money on that? The Mg42 was the workhorse of german infantry units. whole squads would work around it in support of it, where as in allied units, an MG was used in support of the riflemen.

and don't sit there and tell me that U.S. forces never faced SS units or that the Russians didn't either. If you are talking about that Caen situation, then yeah I agree you guys had it rough.

  • I never said the U.S. never faced the SS everyone faced the SS but compared between the those countries and expecially Normandy Britain acutally faced more of the SS units and while the U.S. and Britain were getting 3 major cities

Canada was the one facing some of Germany's toughest forces such as Fallshirmjagers, entire Kampgruppes, etc while we were liberating every single village, small towns, big towns and yes we were even in cities

unlike you I repect not just my Veterans

  • we all get, canada fought hard in the fights it was involved in.

and what you said at the end, don't even go there.

simply recognizing facts as facts is not the same as showing disrespect.

I would love to say that american GIs won the war all by themselves but I don't because its not true. and that is partly me respecting vets from other nations.

so get off your high horse.

  • and since we are betting money I bet you 5 bucks you read the casualties off of wikipedia cause they said exactly what you did

You do know Wikipedia is mostly false right? it's a site where you do not have to face your facts off of anything and anyone get go on it and write something and I mean ANYONE

I read one time that the AK-47 was made in Canada

and that Market Garden was ALL of Britains fault everysingle thing

U.S. 510,000 (plus MMarines in China)

    Britain 326,000

    Canada 35,000

  • actually I didn't. You just have to accept that I study history as well even though I am not majoring in it.

  • For some funny feeling I don't believe you

you don't seem to realize and I'm sure you don't really know any Canadian History (University Grade)

what so even anything about Canada during WW2

I agree a Fact is a Fact and what you're saying is an opinion for just cause a country is a Super Power does not mean that it automaticly did more

    through History

in ever Operation I can think of with Britain we fought in the front line and in every Operation with the U.S. but you say otherwise

  • no I never said otherwise. I said on a per captita basis, Canada had a much smaller role. thats it, no disrespect there, merely stating a fact. And the fact that I accept this fact is not a show of disrespect towards canadien vets.

  • A major thing I learned from you was you're very patriotic which is a good thing but not when dealing with history because patriotism ruins History

Of course every Patriot is going to vote for hes own country no matter what was recorded through History and you seem to of said is that you say U.S. fought harder even though they came late and were mostly facing lesser infantry compared to what we had to face because you're a super power and was recognized because of it

  • oh lord why must I suffer fools

  • and you say my knowledge of even the slightest bit of WW2 lacks understanding over a disagreement between two different types of Rifles which has nothing to do with tatics or what was recorded through History

such as the Southen section of the Eastern Front with Romania and the Soviet Black Jackets

or the massive tank battles in North Africa Libya

    and etc.. .

I'm pretty sure the M1 Garand and the Mauser Kar compared was not all of WW2

  • no I didn't associate the rifles with the outcome of the battles.....YOU DID

when you were talking about the OST brigade inflicting massive casualties with their rifles

  • I agree with you that quote '' The Mg42 was the workhorse of german infantry units. whole squads would work around it in support of it ''

I was not talking about how they used it but merely the affectivness of the Operator and the training of the Operator which in you're case Osttruppen

    compared to the SS
