  • VERY helpful, many thanks!

  • My question is: when do I loose more fat?

    1) If I ride a bike for 5km

    2) I run 5km

    3) I walk 5 km

answer is 1 right? cuz same distance = same amount of energy is used, but with bike we have + 10kg weight to move, so it must be the best way to loose fat. ?

  • Awesome

  • I am trying to burn more calories not exercising! Just walking taking the stairs and being more fidgety to be like thin people!

  • @oliviaolas if u waste time walking n stair , u burn nothing, u might want to do m100 cardio its only take 3 mins n u burn load of calories. well of course eat clean

  • Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant video.

  • Is it true that if you burn fat while doing cardio you burn carbs during the day and turn off the fat burning process in your body and if you burn carbs with short cardio burst workouts 10 to 20 minutes you then burn fat during the day as it turns on your fat burning process in the body?

  • @Obobbyss inform me plz if you get a response

  • saw your video's on askscooby forum, thanks alot for these video

  • Amazing video Evil! But i got 1 question, why does Scooby say that cardio at a steady pace is better than high intensity cardio/intervals?

  • Heah Cannibalizer, IIRC Scooby was talking about people starting out. HIIT and the like is more stress for the body and should only be done by those experienced with demanding cardio training.

Beginners for example can push it too far and miss where the red line for their heart is or their heart can't keep up with the sudden BPM changes required.

  • @Evilcyber - HIIT is way faster and more efficient at getting you fit. I don't see anything wrong with really unfit people starting out with HIIT so long as it's low impact. Don't see why anyone needs a pulse monitoring device either. You just go till your heart is banging and you're really out of breath. Wait till it drops to a more comfortable level then ramp it back up again. Unlikely that anyone would be even able to raise their pulse to dangerously high levels(i.e. 210+) & not know it.

  • ok so if i want to gain muscles i must run at low intensity as to not deplete the carbohydrates but not fatigue my muscles too much so they can rebuild?

  • @PasswordPower Generally speaking you shouldn't do your cardio before your strength training, as it would take away from your performance there.

  • Nice Vid. But let me ask. Based on your numbers(not exact)- If the 85% runner is only burning 26% more fat. Why not coast @50% for 60min vs. only say 30min @85%. If neither distance nor time is of concern. Then the turtle will burn 20% more than the hare at the end of the day. I easily waste 2hrs a day doing work @ home on the computer, why not keep moving at let's say @40% during that time. How much fat would burn over that length of time. There no way anyone could do much else @ a 85% pace.

  • Well, the video was about getting the maximum fat loss in the smallest amount of time.

When while sitting at your computer you manage to do a form of cardio activity simultaneously, then of course go ahead!

  • very well explained! Thnks!

i started to jog n wait training for 4months now. and i lost 14kgs/30Lbs. & i never concentrated on how fast im running. I ran fast enough (8-9 km/h)so tht i do feel like im working hard n soaking my T-shirt :) and it did help.

    Thnks again!

  • After all, I still don't know what do do in my situation =D

What do I have to do to lower my bodyfat percentage without losing weight anymore? Im already down to 69 KG (my body height is 188 cm) and I can't see my abs at all? Maybe you can answer my question.

Would be nice if you PM me and I would prefer german, you sound like you're originally from germany ^^

    Greetings

  • Heah King, no you shouldn't lose more weight! Doing that might actually limit your ability to build muscle!

If your abs still don't show then what might be the case is that your ab mucles still aren't developed enough to be visible.

  • Hey, thank you for replying =D

I think I'll concentrate on gaining muscle now ( but still doing my 30 minutes of cardio everyday), because I belive if you improve your overall strengh, the 6-pack abs will come naturally because the more muscles you have, the more fat is burned while resting. Am I right with this? ^^ Also, it's not very funny to count calories all the time, I did it for a whole month, it was a torture -.-

  • Yeah, I think Scooby's bulking up plan would work very well for you!

BTW, don't forget to take before and after pics, so Scooby can put you in the success stories! :)

  • That would be ultra awesome =D I think I gonna take some pictures soon and see what I can do in one year of weightlifting ;)

Thank you for your advice and keep up making these videos, you and Scooby are like the godfathers of fitness in the AscScooby forum ;)

    Greetings
