if u actually play an instrument and realize how fun metal is to play, its not a matter of "toughness", its just musical taste. i think rap and pop is pathetic, take ur voice, sing like an idiot, edit a bit in the studio...add a backtrack that takes no talent or practice to do, u have urself some shitty rap or pop...modern music is sad, no talent is required to be a so called "musician" now...we need to backtrack about 30 years...thats music.

thats kind of a contradict-ive comment. saying comments like " it's just musical taste" "takes no talent" "how fun it is to play" those are things that can be applied anywhere, to then turn around and insult another type of music. dude. it's arguable it's just some guitar thrashing and misfits screaming because it makes them feel deep. that can appeal to you but i think it's gay thats all. it's not that talented at all, but we are talking from a listeners perspective now, not fun to play.
