Like I said, I don't really find most of the Scary Movie franchise funny either but the thing with Date/Epic/Disaster/Spartans is that they are just lazy filmmaking. There's no characters acting stupid in the same situation, it's just endless references "Hey, remember Ironman? That was a movie. Remember Hancock? That was a movie". Whilst in the Scary Movie sequels you could at least see what the joke was even if it wasn't all that funny.
