@ModernMWEntrtainment I'm from Lansing, and I remember back in the day you would get programming from pretty much every city in the LP. Those were the days.
Regarding the "Jif" ad at 3:19, if memory serves, there were two versions. This is the second one. The original featured a woman that let out a shrill "horse laugh" when the guy approached her and said: We've been spying on you!"
I loved announcers on local tv broadcasts introducing shows or special programming or even wishing us a happy halloween, thanksgiving, x-mas and new years. Little things like that were are overlooked in today's fast paced society. I doubt they are even allowed to wish us a Merry Christmas anymore cuz of Politically correct problems now... And commercials now are AWFUL
Thanks for the walk down memory lane. I remember when Jerry Hodak was with Channel 2. And good Lord! Mr. Belveder. "We do good work" And Burger Chef & Jeff. I got food poisoning from one of their stores when I lived in Wayne back in 1980. Powerhouse candy bars were great!
oh man, sounds like my childhood! Represent the 313!

I grew up about 2 hours west of Detroit. We still got the Detroit channels though, along with the Lansing channels. I remember all these commercials!
