  • Hey at 210 pound i can curl 165 for a set of 10 but it does not look all that pretty.

  • i think the form was fine. idk what these fags are talking about

  • Don't listen to these haters. They just feel worthless because they see a guy who is curling a weight that is near their own body weight/they can never dream of curling. His form isn't even bad, I'm sure half of you do that with your 70 lbs barbell.

  • Quit wasting your time replying to youtube critique know-it-alls lol...that's truly impressive and you developed your arms well. Good job mate.

  • his arms> all the muscle on your body, end of story, he OBVIOUSLY knows what he is doing

  • omg, there are so many freaking trolls on the internet these days.

i'm sure none of you weak little shits weighing 150lbs can even curl half that

  • Is that a Penn State shirt?

  • I know it's heavy, but it would be seriously impressive if you did it with less torso rock.Have you ever gone for a 1rm?

  • @schnarf5 - I realize that, however, there does come a point when you get more benefit/growth/stimulation from a lift with a little loose form than you do with much lighter weight and much stricter form. It all depends on what the ultimate goals are.

  • @schnarf5 his for was 99 percent strict....it was impressive no natter ho u slice it bud.....

  • @rctriplefresh5 It's impressive for sure& it's only moderate cheating considering the ridiculous things I've seen in gyms, but if 0% is cleaning it with back-breaking lean back& half bent arms& perfect is 100% I would say a lil' lower than 99%, around60-70%.That's just my opinion, &when the weight is over half body weight keeping form perfect is less necessary. Its possible to do heavy curls with negligible torso movement, you have to get your feet set right& contract your abs& the bar supertight

  • Hey buddy , put your body weight up on the video , then I'll tell you whether that is good or not .

  • @getout84 - Why would that matter? I think curling 160lbs for 6 reps as a natural athlete is pretty darn good nomatter how much I weigh

  • To some of the comments below - I completely agree that the form isn't 100% strict, but that was the point. I don't think my form was terrible, I mean, this set still cooked my biceps, but there does come a point in time when you need heavier weight and a little loose form to continue to give the muscles stimulus to grow...

  • @Sporto4323 Nah your form is fine dude, when you have that much weight out in front of your body you have to counter balance it.

  • @Sporto4323 For all those saying your form isn't tight enough.. They know nothing lol. Thats pretty minimal as far as "Cheat curls" go anyway. Nice work man. Keep it up.

  • very good technic

  • @MikeRapajic LOL! I was thinking the EXACT SAME thing!

    xD

But he's a good sport about all the grief they give him on here. Nioce to se someone with a good sense of humour on this site for a change...

  • your a strong dude how much are you curling now?

  • Nice job

  • lol @ curls in the squAT RACK

  • In this video you look like Jason Statham

  • @Spartan1844 hes probably been workingout a lot then lately =p

  • @MikeRapajic - LOL!

  • i love the negative control on every last rep dude your my idol!!!!!:)

  • I hope your wrists dont hurt like mine i cant even think about curling over 100 now. Keep up the good stuff!

  • @proshotknight - Actually, my wrists do start to hurt when I get up towards this kind of weight...that's why I don't do sets like this all the time

  • @Sporto4323 probably you houldn't use the bar for weight liek this cause I noticex kinda awkward positioning of the arms...

  • @Sporto4323 maybe an ez curl bar is a good idea.. or just dumbells...

  • These people just seem to be pissed off that you curl more than they squat/deadlift!!

  • So sick dude! That's freaken heavy, haha my favorite part of YouTube is people talking crap for no reason anybody who talks crap on this video is full of crap... For that amount of weight your form is perfect man people keep it up dude

  • straight up powerful with good form! i look at this video every time to get me pumped for my arm routine? any tips on these? cuz my wrists hurt and i want to get stronger on these

  • Bet you can't do it with proper form.

  • @Anarchyffan

who uses proper form on curls? oh wait faggot wanna-be bodybuilders who's idea of a proper bicep curl is having your back straight and standing sideways in front of a mirror.

I bet the only gyms that you see are the ones on youtube

  • @Anarchyffan bet you cant even get it half way up with cheat form

  • hows your squat or deadlift? oh. lol

  • How long did it take you to get your arms that size!? :O

  • great lift man , big arms to, keep training hard

  • @MapleLeafMuscle777 - Are you honestly this stupid? You think bicep peaks have anything to do with concentration curls? Or are you just trolling because you are mad that I can do this and you can't? Bicep peaks are primarily determined genetically by where the muscle inserts into the elbow. I suppose Arnold only had a peak on one of his biceps because he did "concentration curls" with only one arm? Wow you are incredibly stupid...

  • @MapleLeafMuscle777 - Yeah, I'll go do some concentration curls while you try to increase your intelligence level...mmkay?

  • loving that roid receeder!

  • @AryanWarrior1000 - Not as much as I love idiots who have no intelligence that think everyone with a receeding hairline is on steroids LOL. Guys like you can't BUY a clue!

  • @AryanWarrior1000 I'm 16 natural and have a receding hairline..

  • @AryanWarrior1000 my dad was 184 pounds when he could curl 135 for 10 with no roids lol.... so 165 for like a 200 215 pound can happen roid free

  • how big are your arms?

  • @underrated5222 - just under 20"...working this year to get them to 20!

  • @Sporto4323

    THey look bigger than 20

  • @Sporto4323 Good Stuff!! my arms are are a tad under 20 '' and my Bodyfat is 22 % like yours too bro!

Do you have a goal on how big you'd like your arms to be?

  • @tradguitarplaya In another comment he said he was working on geton his arms to 20" this year

  • @Sporto4323 Do you know that if you gear up you can be one of the biggest and thickest bodybuilders on the planet in about 1 year. No disrespect I know you have acheived alot but seriously you have the genes to step up on the olympia stage next to the big fish. Make real history. Not that your not already making it. Hope you don't take my comment in the wrong light. Just saying. Peace out humble guy.

  • @fcukyourmother - No not at all...I take it as a compliment! I believe I still have more to achieve naturally, so I am going to stick with that route. But thank you for the kind words!

  • @Sporto4323 They loook at least 20-21. I'm working my way up to curling 135 once. Christmas goal. If i ever hit 165 like you, i'll put it up on here.

  • You can look at his fingers and forearms and see the man is putting in work. I've seen plenty of roid heads on youtube with tapered forearms and plenty of body english.

  • Damn. Solid work. Also, excellent form!!! Great video.

  • Great set Tommy, way to overload those guns!!! And how the hell can anybody dislike this? Oh yeah, that's right it's 6 thumbs down physiques who did rated it. Keep it up brother!

  • @JacksonUSA0683 - Gotta love the tough guys on youtube!

  • good job man the reason why people never do legs is because they are pussies that only curl and bench thats why the racks always empty :P

  • Hey...just wondering how you incorporate heavy barbell curls into your routine. I'm doing the power/hyper split and feel like arms get neglected. I was thinking of adding heavy curls and skull crushers to my upper power day. How do you do it?

  • @APYANKS24 I don't know...I haven't trained with the power/hyper spolit in over 2 years...I train much more optimal now...

  • FINALLY SOMEONE WHO CAN ACTUALLY DO IT WITHOUT UNCONTROLLABLE SWINGING!

  • sweet jesus, good form!

  • Squat rack curling makes my brain explode.

  • @xNewAgeWarriorx mine too but when it's 160 with pretty good form i can let it go.

  • @samauripizzacats101 Yeah, gotta do something to stop that elbow pain. I prefer pull ups though.

  • @xNewAgeWarriorx shh don't let out the secret. I built most of my bicep size off weighted pull ups

  • @samauripizzacats101 True. Pullups suck.Bicep curls and tricep kickbacks FOR LYFE!!!

  • @xNewAgeWarriorx disagree. Kickbacks suck balls. Useless exercise. Only good for pumping some blood into the muscle at the end of the training. Dips, narrow grip BP, and french press is all you need.

  • @dan7edan7e I was being sarcastic. Look at the conversation with me and Samauripizzacats101. Yeah I mainly do power lifting movements. So...I don't even know what a french press is.

  • @xNewAgeWarriorx oops... made myself look stupid, sorry mate =) anyways french press is wicked for triceps, look it up on youtube.

  • @dan7edan7e No problem.Yeah I'll give it a look.Curls for lyfe...in the squat rack...leading with your hips....wi(bursts blood vessel).

  • @dan7edan7e and i've always wondered....why do they call them "french press?" everyone knows the french don't lift weights. We have a saying here..."skinnier than a frenchman's arm"

  • guys that are juicing may be 2 times this size, but this guy is strong as shit!

  • damn look at the size of those arms, you should do a flexing video

  • You're curling 100 and the other 60 pounds is from the momentum due to the vigorous swinging motion youre doing

  • @santahatpk Not really man, you try it. Swinging a bit is unavoidable when curling really heavy. I agree that this is a fair bit, but it's still legit. I guarantee this was difficult for him, it's basically doing a 1Rm for 6 reps and then the negative. Logic being, your swing generates whatever power you do not have on every rep.

  • @santahatpk dude, c'mon. SERIOUSLY!?!?!

  • do you get more reps when you put ketchup on your ball sack?

  • @ Sporto4323, How old are you?

  • heavy

    styled

    and quiet

    exelent!!!

  • Finally no negative comments, by the way his little swinging is even recomanded by trainers because its the body's natural way of moving, maybe aside the 2 last reps his form was 9/10 to me and thats very good!

  • are you curling in the squat rack?

  • @wudthedamaja Trust me, there is nobody at that gym that even bothers to do legs LOL

  • @Sporto4323 Ha that's where I curl at!

  • @Sporto4323 if some body goes to the gym and dont workout his legs , he is just a dumb "beach " i mean bitch boy

  • @Sporto4323 Every Friday for me. It's by far my favorite workout because I constantly see gains in the amount of weight I can lift

  • Nice work man! Even though you leaned forward a bit you're form was strict nonetheless.

  • This is really good but in the other video you had alot better form, not that i should be talking ebcause i only curl 125 pounds and on the 6th on i lose form :P keep up the good work man, i was really impressed with the 150 pounds curl in the last video.

  • shit man... good stuff... a natural athlete like u is what we need to see more of haha

  • oh and tommy, tell layne about the message I send you, he needs this extra sponsership too.

  • Hey big tommy, I saw you use anabolic pump by usplabs, go google usplabs and go to their website, click on customer service, click on marketing, write your info when the maketing link shows up. This is how your going be a sponsered athlete by usplabs tommy, this will help you because they promote natural athletes just like with your scivation.

  • Nice job bro - great form overall. Nothing wrong with a slight swing to get it moving.

5 stars....if there were stars anymore...

  • how many days a week should i work on my arms? i heard once a week is best, but what is your advice, as too how many times and how long of a break

  • My arms didn't start growing until I started:

    a) training them more frequent (I train them twice every eight days)

    b) training them heavier, with more sets focusing in the 4-6, and 6-8 rep range

    c) training them with less volume per workout

  • @Sporto4323 Does this apply to mixing it up with the other body parts, pecs, back, etc.?

  • @MakMoviez What do you mean? It sounds like you are referencing a previous post, but I don't know which one...

  • @Sporto4323 so haw many sets you do for biceps ?

  • @Sporto4323 what do you mean less volume per workout??

  • @Sporto4323 Tommy, how long have you been training? what's you training age?

  • @tradguitarplaya - I've been training going on 14 years now...I turned 30 this year

  • STEROID ALERT

  • LOL! Thanks for the laugh and the nice compliment! As a complete natural, I take pride in being jacked enough for people to assume I use steroids, so I appreciate that!

  • That is amazing. Quite a bit of power in the biceps! ;)

  • Thanks!

  • holy shit man! thats incredible, what do u use to be that strong?

  • What do you mean, what do I use? I don't use anything - I work my butt off and lift heavy weight...

  • You're 155/5 seemed of slightly better form. However, you're a freek none the less for a natural. I just hope that I'll be able to curl 160 just once one day.

  • Thanks!

  • wow i'm impressed by you're training.. thats is for increase strong or normal routine for body mass?? i think most guys on roids are less stronger than you.. i'm italian sorry for my bad english..

  • What is PR?

  • Personal Record!

  • amazing power u have there

im 16 just started getting serious about bodybuilding, i was woundering if u workout for Biceps and Triceps on the same day, or if u work them out on seperate day. and witch one gave u the most gain. Also what is ur workout regimin like ex: Monday Chest Tuesday Back...ect

keep up the hard work, ur vid r a huge motivation

  • Thanks!

I work them on the same day...and have for a long time.

  • I have a question. My question is when trying to get cut up, should you do cardio after you lift weights or should you do cardio on off days? Also what form of cardio do you recomend, hiit or just the clasic long distance stead pace cardio? Thanks and great lift as always.

  • There is no right/wrong way to do cardio - it's the balance of the type and amount with your dieting approach that matters the most. General rule of thumb, I like cardio after the workout so it doesn't deplete glycogen in the muscles before using weights, and I use more low intensity if it's a low carb approach and higher intensity if it is a higher carb approach...but that's just generally speaking

  • Nice form

  • Thanks!

  • damn! very sick amazing good job

  • Thanks!

  • Looking great Tommy! Yeah, swinging a little, but, like you said, it's heavy weight. You at least controlled the negative portion of the movement. Can't wait to see you guys on stage together!

  • Thanks - I'm really looking forward to it too!

  • Good lift man impressive...a little swing when using heavy weights is good IMO. So Layne is competing again? thought he was doing powerlifting nowdays....oh well alot of time to get ready.

  • He is powerlifting as of now, but he will be competing towards the end of next year as well. TEACHER VS STUDENT!

  • I think you can take him.... 50/50

Have you thought about competing in powerlifting? I think you could do very well

  • Thought about it...I'd have to learn how to optimally train for it...

  • Wow this is very impressive Tommy...

    When u next competing?

  • Thanks - I will be competing next fall....against Layne :)

  • Sweeeeeeeeeeet :D

    Sensai v Grasshopper showdown ! :o

  • @Sporto4323 That has to make Layne a bit nervous. I know he is a beast but your conditioning last time was downright freakish.

  • I doubt he is worried about me, but we will see how it plays out!

  • good stuff, as long as u had good contractions and stress on the bi's its all good

  • Thanks - I realize the form is a little off, but it was what I had to do with that kind of weight, so I tried to keep it to a minimum as best I could.
