Without a doubt this is the best NHL game in the series. Older versions are behind with graphics, newer versions are too much focus on graphics. This one is just right, the graphics, music, intro, menu layout and most of all the playability. It might not have new teams like the Wild but who needs them? One of the few games i still play!

The Doug Weight-goal is great! After watching that when I was young he became my favorite player ^^
This is by far the best NHL-intro ever. They should go back to intros like this.

NHL 99 is the best of all the NHL games. Not the greatest graphics but sure is a hell of alot of fun.
