I noticed every single Elvis impersonator somehow misses that very noticeable "nasal resonance" that is in Elvis' voice, also, there is a much softer noticeable tone in Elvis' voice on the singing parts and his voice opens as he ascends. When you hum a note you can hear the voice using the nasal chambers, but not "nasal" sounding. The other thing is Elvis had tremendous power that I believe he learned just by listening to the likes of Mario Lanza.

Saw SK last Saturday in Baraboo, WI, USA, and held his hand, almost kissed his hand, but chickened out at the last moment, he's even better looking in person.. I was way more star struck then I thought I was. I couldn't believe I was in the presents of such a legendary ETA as SK. I bet it would be the same with our bro EP except for passing out when he'd touch me, lol. I could barely say hi, and thank him for signing my stuff I got and for flirting with me, knows a sucker when he sees one, lol.

I have to agree with heyitsme0401, yes there is only 1 Elvis Presley, but Shawn does an excellent job of portraying Elvis in my opinion,

I can't believe what I'm reading!!! Granted, there IS, and always will be, only ONE King of Rock and Roll, but Shawn is dead on with his portrayal of Elvis. He keeps the persona, sight and sound of Elvis going from beginning to end of every performance. Not like most tribute artists that can only sound like him for a few bars, then revert back into themselves trying to sound like Elvis for the rest of the song. Shawn's the next best thing for us who weren't privileged to see the Elvis in concert

Shawn's live shows are amazing and unlike any other tribute artist or impersonator I've seen. He's the only one I know who does an entire show - not just a song or two - and still has people on their feet wanting more. His voice is so close to Elvis's at times it's eerie (have you heard his 'Love Me' ?). While he may not be Elvis, he could be his understudy as he gives people a real taste of what an Elvis show in 1971 must have been like –and he’s been able to maintain that for a decade now.

@descheenie1000 I'm deeply privileged to have seen Elvis Presley twice live in concert and if there is one thing I know it's that there was is and never will be another human being that will even come close to what Elvis could do.

For you to say "Elvis will allow him to wear his crown" .don't forget Shawn Klush is just an act Elvis was Elvis you can't replicate an original.

First, it's a very LARGE challenge to match exactly because he had great depth, angle, annunciation and arc to his voice plus one hell of a range. Even Doug Church , who I think is one of the best vocal imitators, is only about 80% there. Shawn does a great performance but the best part of his performance is his choreography and mannerisms. i think hese guys give up a huge part of their own identities in order to keep his memory alive. They'll never be him but it's good to hear the songs live.

Saw shawn live this week and let me tell you, he's damn close to appearing like Elvis both in looks, mannerisms, and vocals to the point a viewer can get fooled to believing their really seeing Elvis at certain moments. Having said that, he doesnt quite have Elvis's movements and his voice is flatter then Elvis's without the rangey Vibrato that Set Elvis's vocals apart from all other singer. nevertheless Shawn comes pretty damn close and In a way Shawn puts a unique version of singing to Elvis

I have seen hundreds of tribute artist there are about a dozen in my home town alone I still have not heard a voice like Elvis had. It cannot be perfectly copied but check out cody slaughter ....Shawn Klush aint bad but he is not the best

Great job on the duet video, good piece of editing - but thanks to videos like this, we really get to see how no one can sound like Elvis, there really is no comparing the two voices. Elvis was in a complete league of his own, Shawn has a good voice, but just like every other imp - NOTHING LIKE ELVIS!

This is a great video Shawn does a great job of singing My Way and can be compared to Elvis as the best they both sound the same. I have had the pleasure to go to Elvis' concerts twice as well I have been to Shawn's concerts so it is easy to close your eyes and think you are at each others concerts. I love them both and I know Elvis would be proud of Shawn. I've got the scarf and kiss from the concerts and I will see Shawn many more times and he is a great guy . True Elvis Fan .. Cathy

i met him through another eta'a manager , who is a close friend of shawn and others , i 've had the opportunity to get together with the worlds greatest etas as well as meeting cynthia pepper from '' kissing cousins '' , elvis's friends , the sweet inspirations , and one of his managers .

its so great to experience elvis again ,

I saw Shawn Klush here in Glace Bay Nova Scotia at the Savoy Theatre bacn in November 2008 and i must say i was amazed. Shawn Klush is absolutley amazing. From a distance he looks alot like Elvis, Up close not as much. However, if you ever see him live, close your eyes and lean back and you are back in 1973.. My mom has a picture with him and autograph as he had a meet and greet that same night. Take Care all

Shawn is billed as "Closest to the King in Concert" for good reason. He is able to capture the stage presence and persona to a degree that few others can. It's obvious he is an Elvis fan himself, who has gone to great lengths to study Elvis and to bring "Elvis" to the stage with dignity and respect.
