nice singles young sir keep at it!. keep tht back beat going during crazy fills (2 & 4 go to snare, use a metronome to lock there are variations but this alone will make it groove and sound pro-ish) its whats called playing over the bar. watch aaron do it and you'll see he focus on that more than the wild crazy stuff. his just come out wild n crazy cause he's raw.

not bad! you tend to repeat your phrasing(playing your fills at prettymuch the same place in the bar) but that kinda comes with time. work on trying to communicate your phrases at different places in the bar(maybe even over the bar line) and in more interesting ways. thats what helped me to kinda mix it up. now i've gotten to the point to where people turn around with the 'what was that' look but it took a lot of thought and practice to get there.
