Cause and effect, there is no choice we can make that will influence the progression of time because we are a part of the physical world too, our brains are just a series of electrical signals controlled by external physical influence.

  • All of this assumes that Time is THE Fourth Dimension, rather than A Fourth Dimension. There are more Spatial Dimensions before Time needs to be included.

  • @TheKevinTracy The label for time as a dimension seems adequate. Three primary spatial dimensions are what you perceive and time is one that you would perceive like a 2 dimensional would perceive the third dimension (ie. we perceive time at the moment of our perception like a slice from a MRI, but we don't perceive time as a whole.) This video doesn't really take note that time is being treated as spatial (ie. time and space are really the same thing we just don't perceive time in its entirety)

    The fourth dimension could be a spatial dimension, as could the fifth, sixth, and so on. Even though Time is a Dimension, there is no reason to include it so early in the sequence, if ever. The explanation in the video would work just as well without including Time.

  • I feel like the explanations of certain dimensions are too loose. We jump from 4 to 5, give lip service to 6, and settle on 7. Remember that this is theory and imagination. We can spend all our waking hours trying to conceive a time/dimension bending machine so we can transport to different realities OR we can live THIS life to the fullest, making the best choices we can while we are here.

  • Wherever there is space, which is everywhere in our known universe, you have the 3 dimensions of length, width, and height. BUT time can be bent, stretched, and vary greatly due to gravitational pull from different masses. Is the 4th dimension something different from time, or is that dimension able to be changed? Possibly allowing time travel? I need to hit a spliff then I'll get back to this video :)

So that kinda means that there is only one possibility in the end which contradicts all theories about the other dimensions. But maybe that just means that I didn't understand it after all and proves that I suck at physics...

  • @Soyneil A point in the 10th dimension is made up of all of the points ever conceived in the 0th dimension. You cant factor in size when thinking of a dimension, because the dimension is what is. For a two dimensional creature, everything they ever know, is in the 2nd dimension. The point correlation between the 0th dimension and the 10th dimension is just for us to understand. Imagine the point in the 10th it encompasses all points in 0-9, making size irrelevant

  • @solforscreenam As I said I'm not that great with physics, I prefer languages. But still I'm not as bad as to the point that I don't get what you mean, because I think I do. Size doesn't matter, because dimensions are things you can't imagine as a space. They are just the dimension in which the points, lines and other planes exist. I actually could've thought of that if I had thought about this for some more time I guess. But it was about 1a.m. when I watched this and I wanted to sleep ;)

To get to 11 dimensions you would have to imagine something greater than that and provide an explanation of how you did it. So yes, I dismiss your claim that there could be 20 dimensions.

  • @Caballingus According to M theory, when you reach the tenth dimension , you reach a place that already encompasses everything along every timeline in every universe that could possibly exist. When you reach the 10th dimension, there isn't another dimension to move into, because that dimension already includes everything that could exist. This is why the 10th dimension is often referred to as a "multiverse" or "omniverse".
