  • When is the best time to drink a protein shake? Before or after working out.

  • Thanks for the heads up. I purchased the body fortress whey protein two months ago and could not stick with it. It tasted chalky and it dried out my mouth. I will try the 10lbs protein you have suggested here. I need something to stick to and if it tastes good, well it definitely a plus. Thanks again and keep up the good work!

  • Hey Claudia...you conviced me! I just ordered some Whey (Weider CFM Whey Protein, Strawberry-Vanilla) two days ago. I will start to use it tomorrow. I think I'm gonna take it just once a day, one scoop (30 grams) with water or low-fat milk right after the workout. There is already a lot of protein in my normal diet.

    And I hope I like the taste! :)

    Last week is my week4 but I take a rest all week tired have no energy, but I already order P90x Recovery drink,

    and yesterday I supost to begin week5 day1 Chest Choulder & triceps,

    I toke my disc out and droping on the floor by that time I step on and the disc slice it dames, can't play well,

    So enyone can help give me a copy Please.

  • it's and Adidas cool dry. Great for working out because no matter how much you sweat it keeps you dry. Found it at T-J Max by chance! :)

    Remember as you approached the 30 day mark, you didn't seem to think there was a difference either then BANG! the pics were taken and the improvement was visually amazing.

    One thing I do to neutralize the taste is to mix them with my smoothies, so I get the benefits but the taste of the powder itself is minimal.

    Seeing as how this is a recovery week for you, it would be a good opportunity, as Shaun would agree, to post a video of your yoga moves.

  • Hey Claudia...that was enlightening. I haven't tried whey protein powder yet but I got myself some information about this some weeks ago. I still don't know if I will use this in the future. In some ways, powder makes sense, e.g. if somebody wants to leave out exceed nutrients when eating protein from foods, like saturated fats in meat. Moreover, those protein shakes often taste very good, and even better if they're prepared with milk.

    By the way: Virginia is right - great shirt! :)

  • hey sweetie. I think for a high performant athlete like you, you would highly benefit from taking protein supplements. The shakes are my favorites, and specially when I make them with milk. they don't only fill you up but also give you that "sweet taste" you avoid by eating regular sweets.

  • I have some good shake recipes - do you have a good blender? It can handle ice well??? I have a VitaMix - its insanely powerful.

  • Very informative, Clau. I'll have to try the whey isolate. Isopure is suppose to be really good. I have heard rave reviews about it, but yeah, it is insanely expensive. American Whey huh? Interesting.

  • Shaun - American Whey is very economical - especially when you buy the big super size 10lb bucket : ) I know many people that have tried others and they keep coming back to American Whey. It's yummy yummy. Do you want me to send you a sample?
